Fuq da haterz!!! Miguel cotto vs pac man bad chad dawson vs glen "the road warrior" johnson paul willliams vs kelly pavlik da soooper mf'n six!! Plz pay dem what they're worth! Andre ward is gonna heat it up! All da contestants have a chance, but i'm going wit da bay area native! Jah bless boxing! Let's go warriorz!
We did 1 million buys for a fight that isnt even one of the biggest 5 fights in boxing so I think we are alright and thats going up agianst the UFC. Imagine how much a Mayweather vs Cotto-Pacquiao-Mosley (not all 3 one of the 3) would do. Clearly the amount of people who watch prove its still a very pouplar sport even in this bad economy. I thought Boxing hit a rough patch for about a year recently but we got some incredible fights coming up Cotto-Pacquiao (worth PPV), Mosley vs Berto, Williams vs Taylor, the amazing Super 6 tournament with the best 6 Super Middleweights arguablly on the planet, Dawson-Johnson II, Probablly the long awaited Jones-Hopkins rematch and more hopefully.
I thought you guys knew!! Boxing died on March 29th 1966 when Ali fought Chuvalo. At least that's what the experts said.
Boxing could certainly do with a bit more coverage in the UK, I thought it was cool with Bunce on Setanta, It really started to kick off, but since Setanta died, ESPN is a complete load of pish!
I disagree boxing is making a comeback . Just look at at all the great fights coming up. Many people try to compare the ufc with boxing the ufc is new ,so many young people are drawn to it.Boxing has been around for years . It was dead a few years ago ,but that was becouse the heavyweight division is dead . Many have found that the welterweight division is a great and exciting division to watch . I will not be surprised if the Pacman - Cotto fight will do over a 1 million buys maybe more.......
It's not doing too great in the UK, I'm afraid. Setanta is gone, so no more Buncey's baldtastic bonce. BBC has no pro boxing, and ITV is ending its boxing contracts very soon. Only Sky. But boxing as a whole is doing ok, as it always does, though it does ebb and flow with the public, especially with the heavies in such a crappy state.
It's had it's ups and downs and will continue to do so but the sport of boxing will live on for generations to come. :bbb
Had Margarito not ****ed it up with the plaster HBO could have had a nice welter weight double header with rematchs. Mosley vs Margarito 2 Berto vs Collazo 2
