That goes for every fighter though you can't really help that. I really wish I dont start seeing threads and threads about excuses on why Pac or Cotto lost. The best man will win that night.
That's really my point. They'll be excuses by the losing fighter's contingent immediately after the fight has concluded like clockwork. If Pac loses I'm sure the weight and training conditions will be heavily scrutinized as to why he lost.
Cotto's a veteran, of course not......any1 who's been fighting as long as him and tries using that excuse is doing exactly just that....making excuses
then whats the point of posting this....you can look at any fighter with a big enough fanbase in the history of boxing, and i'm sure you'd find atleast a handful of guys that would make an excuse if their fighter lost thats apart of life, some people *****, and some people dont.....stop acting like the whole worlds against Pac this is just the way things are and besides if Pac lost i'm 100% positive that a fair amount of people would say it's because he just didn't belong at WW, which is also an excuse
that's why i said that it works both ways, cotto and pac's side. i was just pointing out that whatever happens, we will still hear excuses, contrary to what one poster said that there will be no excuses.
I think us Cotto and Pac fans are more concerned than the fighters themselves. We're the only ones bitching and debating about it. The fighters are just honed in on doing what they do best. We should just be fortunate that we have to explosive fighters like these two guys WILLING to fight eachother. I wish I could say the same for the other P4P aka Mayweather. Now THAT guy is a *****. He's been picking and choosing his fighters since beating Sharmbe Mithell. Hasn't fought a single guy in his own weight class since Baldomir either.
Best man will win...No excuses from my side IF Cotto should loose (which I doubt) I will be the first to say Pac deserved it BUT TIL THEN...........VIVA COTTO!!!!
No, I dont think its a concern, tbh. He needed to train earlier to lose them extra 2 pounds and gain more stamina, as Pacquiao will not slow down until the fight is over. I think the main conern is Cotto's trainer, Santiago. He has no experience whatsoever (apart from Cotto's last few fights), and when you fighting the best p4p fighter, future all time great, you can't afford be trained by someone of his caliber. Just my opinion. Anyway, should be a great fight, cannot wait!
