Little Kassim Ouma was "scared to fight"??
He was backing up "Bad First Impressions" for most of the fight!

The "elusive southpaw" BS is just an excuse to explain away Jermain's curious regression to the public.

You will see Jermain exposed tonight.

He's got a straight-ahead, forward-marching, orthodox banger in front of him...and JT will lose.

The new excuse will be, "damn, it's so hard to make weight at 160. I should've moved up years ago."

    Just watch.

Heh, the Taylor haters are already preparing in another thread where they're saying it's not that Pavlik is so great, it's just that Taylor is so bad.
Thus, should Taylor win, expect to here plenty of cries that Pavlik was an overrated hype job and Jermain still sucks.

Look for Taylor's edge in hand speed to be a big factor in this fight.

If Taylor keeps this fight in the center of the ring, and uses his jab, Pavlik shouldn't be that much trouble for him. That being said...
How long has it been since Jermain followed a solid game plan from start to finish?

He will not be able to survive on the ropes, or in the corner, like he did against Wright in tonight's match. Even if he does have what it takes to stand up to Pavlik's punishing shots, he won't be able to win a decision in this fashion. He has had a distinct power advantage in his last few outings. He didn't have to land as often, nor be as active as his opponent, in order to be perceived as winning. Pavlik is different. He will have to land the cleaner punches in order to win rounds in this fight.

I'm picking Taylor. Pavlik seems to be made to order for him if Taylor stays focused on fighting a smart fight. Think Corales vs. Mayweather type of getting beat to the punch.

I'm just curious, why would you want to see a champion who holds excessively...fights with no heart...no passion...admits he's only in it for the paycheck...and is boring as $hit?

Don't you want to see exciting fights that you're paying for??

Ah, man - let this video speak for itself...

Exactly. His moment of truth WASN'T beating the top P4P fighter twice, it comes beating a guy who's biggest win is Miranda. Go figure.

i have to say, i dont get the JT hate, he seems like a good kid who beats the guy in front of him.

maybe it is just the nature of internet message boards. i respect anyone who gets in the ring until they give me a reason not to. JT never has given me such a reason

hope it is a good fight

I'm not into dissing any fighter in particular. I don't think Pavlik is a joke.

I just don't see him defeating Taylor if Taylor fights the right fight. Taylor should make this look rather easy if he keeps the fight in the center of the ring.

This is the fight where he can silence the critics or he has a tough road back to respect. He is facing the most dangerous fighter in his career. To win this fight, he must show greatness.

Yeah, I'd say this is his moment of truth.

Well, obviously it was his moment of truth, as he was slumped by the guy who "only" beat Miranda.
