I didnt get to the see the fight so my questions are... Was it a close fight up to the knockout ? Does it look like Taylor can be competitive in this tournament after this fight ?
Abraham was winning the fight and he finished the job with a clear knock out in the final round. Jermaine is currently in the hospital and reports are he did suffer a concussion and they have not decided what he'll do in the future regarding the tournament.
AA showed he was the better fighter. He threw away the first few rounds(like he always does), but Taylor actually didn't do anything but hit gloves and arms. The rounds Taylor won was only because of activity and nothing more. When AA started to open up, he started to easily beat Taylor without much trouble, he looked relaxed throughout the fight.
It looked like it was going Taylor's way early, he was doing better and had Abraham looking confused/frustrated but that's how Abraham is, he's a slow starter. Going in the 12th Abraham was clearly winning and dominating.
Taylor won three early rounds. He actually fought gamely enough and came in decent shape, fought aggressively, stamina wasn't terrible. He just got outclassed and then crunched (about ten seconds away from losing wide on points - and it wouldn't have been home-cooking, either).
