Mate, as a neutral [Im Irish] I seen a great night of boxing. Dirrell and Froch could have went either way, but for me the main thing was this tournament has brought a lot of excitment to our sport.:thumbsup
Dirrel was bleeding incase you didnt see. But it was pretty close depending on how sensitive you are as a judge. As for the dirty tricks coming from the 2 fighters. It was really disappointing and nobody deserved a win. They were promoted as the best fighters of the division and what did they give us??:-( RUNNING, CLINCHING, RABBIT PUNCHES, ETC... cant wait for the rest of the tournament!:good
Jeez - I have never heard so many sour faced sore losers. Dirrell lost fair and square end of. Why not take the positive if you're a fan - if he stops running away so much he might be a great fighter. Froch will never be a great fighter. Abraham will never be a great fighter. Dirrell has that potential and last night will show him clearly what he has to do.
..and he's a fat stupid ****? Your point? No way Froch won that fight. He didn't land **** outside of shots during a clinch.. and half of those were to the back of Dirrell's head.
People really over react to decisions in close fights. This fight was a tough one to judge. Dirrell's tactics make it easy to give rounds to his opponent (the champ in this case). The manner in which Dirrell evades seems more like a guy 'trying to get the heck out of there', rather than an 'in control ring general'. Anyhow I think people screaming "Robbery" cheapens it when a real robbery occurs.
Hard as it is to accept - the fight wasn't fixed, Dirrell just didn't do enough in the opening rounds and didn't commit to attacking until later on. He sacrificed his major advantage and got a point deducted because he wanted to clinch all the time. instead of blaming officiating every time a decision doesn't go the way you want it to, how about you look at the flaws the loser displayed - Froch was clueless in there and Dirrell didn't capitalise - he thought running around and potshotting ineffectively was going to win him the fight and he's paid the price. Hopefully he learns not to take anymore chances.
Come on! You think fairness and honour have ever been a big feature of boxing? Just look at Lewis-Holyfield I. Was that a night of fairness and honour?
froch 'he felt quite fragile up close' lol look at the yanks again pissing n moaning ,its not a ballet dance in there u know! 2 down one to go! kessler wiuld snash direll from pillar to post i believe he will tko froch too,had froch by 2 rounds.
Dirrell won the championship rounds, he landed more than Froch. Yes he was running around in the first few rounds but if Froch can't adjust that's his problem.
Absolute disgrace! Had dirrell winning a clear unanumious decision. Cannott believe froch got the decision. There is no way he won that fight. Not even close.
