Froch was sort of fighting like Arthur Abraham is a sense that he was landing all his punches in sort burts. Usually in a clinch, Froch was landing a lot of good punches.
The first 2? You means rounds 1 and 2? Now round 1 i got no problem with anyone giving Froch that round but i got a huge problem with people giving Froch round 2. Whoever score round 2 for Froch should serious watch other sports instead of boxing. And to say Froch dominated the third round is just freaking stupid. Did you say clean punches????? Lol.
I don't think it's tainted, and I've been pretty vocal about how I feel about the Dirrell fight and how I scored it. If it were a single elimination tournament, I'd be more upset, but Dirrell still has a great shot to make it to the semis and has two fights to improve and make his case for it. It wouldn't be the first time a fighter in his shoes came back stronger after a loss, but it is a rare opportunity that he'll have such an immediate chance at bouncing back. It's up to him to look forward and not back, and make the most of it. I'll put it this way: If he can't beat Abraham or Ward in the next two stages, him not advancing is a moot point because that will have shown he's not cut out to win this thing anyways. It doesn't erase that I think he ought to be the WBC champ right now, but there's a bigger prize on the horizon that isn't out of his reach just yet.
Alot of good punches? Gtfo you biased bandwagon uk fan. Man i won't be surprise if you have the same brain as anglosaxon.
Had high hopes on Direll and thought he was the dark horse of the tournament. His style is that, using his athleticism trying to counter while moving. Unfortunately when one clinches WHEN HE DOES NOT HAVE too, it just does not look good. I thought the referee DID warn him for the grabbing and clinching. Another thing I noticed is him always crumbling to the floor? I understand Froch was trying to make the fight a little dirty but EVERYTIME Froch was trying to engage or impose himself aggressively, a little bump or physical presence on Direll and he was ending up on the floor? And what is with him always ducking below the waist? If ANYONE thought that was what we call the "sweet science", I have no comment. If Direll was using his "speed" against Froch, I wonder how he will fight arthur? The thing with arthur is, I can guarantee he WILL NOT chase Froch but will let Froch come to him. Direll AA will be the absolute most boring and ugly fight of this tournament.
Boxing is all about seeing how many punches you can catch with your face while flailing away at thin air. Carl Froch is an ALL TIME GREAT !
Direll would have got the decision if he came foward more and stopped running like a *****. He had the speed and skills to dominate and he didnt use them. its his own fault he knew what it was gona be like in the UK so he should have done more.
EPIC FAIL... There were 4 commentators, and two had Dirrell ahead in a close fight. The other two has Froch winning in a close fight. Of course you only report half of the truth.......
