Happiest - being there in Millenuim stadia Cardiff full house for Calzaghe v Kessler in a fight that lived upto its reputation .... full admiration for both fighters and from that day I became a huge Kessler fan . Saddest - Watching Gatti gtting beaten by a very average fighter in Gomez .. just one fight too many for a true warrior . RIP Gatti your legacy lives on ...
Saddest - when RJJ was knocked out cold by Tarver, and when Luisito Espinosa lost to Cesar Soto Happiest - when Pac beat Barrera:good
To be honest i have to say.... The ring walks to the first super six fight (Taylor vs AA) was so awsome for me.... just the fact that this was kicking off such a super event in boxing, and i do like taylor, i mean i wouldnt say im a die hard fan or anything but i do like him and was rooting for him in this tournament, and then when he got knocked out in such a brutal way with a few seconds left.... was truly one of the saddest moments for me. I felt so damn bad and worried for taylor.
Happiest: Barrera proving every single one of you wrong when he beat Morales in the rubber match. Terrific fight, terrific performance. Saddest: Barrera losing to Pacquiao - who looked like a complete joke of a fighter at the time. Wild swings, couldn't believe a beautiful technician like Marco was being slayed by this rookie.
happiest...being in the venue to see bernard dunne beat cordoba. saddest...maybe seeing michael watson get badly punished by mike mccallum.
When Hagler lost to SRL. When Ayup Kalule lost to SRL. When Kessler lost to Calzaghe. When Tyson lost to Douglas. When Ali lost to Spinks. When Tyson was jailed. When Gert Bo Jacobsen lost to Khalid Rahilou When Søren Søndergaard did the same. When Mads Larsen lost to Sven Ottke When there was a legacy appreciation circle-jerk involving: Hopkins, Winky and Taylor. When Vic beat Mijares. When I arrived 2 minutes into the most anticipated fight Tyson-Spinks, and it was already over. My weirdest moment, was when Andrade received 400 blows to the head, and didn't have a single mark on him" or Bute getting up at the last second to win against Andrade. But positives outweighs the negative.
Happiest: Nigel Benn Closing Gerald McClellan's mouth. Saddest: 2 mins later realizing that G-Man was seriously hurt. Hagler losing to SRL and Tyson Losing To Douglas...at the time we all thoguht and wanted him to be invincible.....also
1 - Hoya vs Vargas 2 - Tito vs Vargas 3 - Mosley vs Mayorga 4 - Margarito vs Cotto 5 - Sanders vs Wlad 6 - Hoya vs Mayorga 7 - Tito vs Mayorga 8 - AA vs Miranda 2 alright well.... this was my list, i had to update it because of two recent fights new list 1 - Hoya vs Vargas 2 - Tito vs Vargas 3 - Mosley vs Mayorga 4 - Margarito vs Cotto 5 - Sanders vs Wlad 6 - Pac vs Cotto 7 - Hoya vs Mayorga 8 - Tito vs Mayorga 9 - AA vs Miranda 2 10 - AA vs Taylor The Pac fight was crushing..... that first time cotto went down, i knew it was the beginning of the end.
Happiest: Pac v Hatton Saddest: Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini v Doo Koo Kim For those not old enough to remember, this was a brawl that ended in the 15th round with Kim getting knocked out.... permanently.
Happiest was seeing Pavlik knock out Taylor in the first fight, after coming back from those brutal punches early on. Saddest is a tie between Taylor getting knocked out against Froch and Hatton getting knocked out by Pacquiao. I was rooting for Pacquiao, but I honestly thought he killed Hatton with that punch at first. The look on Hatton's face was one of the saddest things I've ever seen. But, Taylor's entire fall from grace over the past couple fights is downright depressing.
When Chava beat the living **** out of trash talking Gomez,I was delighted. When Manny ko'd Hatton after Hatton spoke in the 3rd person for 2 months announcing that after he'd beat Manny,he'd be #1 p4p,I was filled with glee. When Barrera dominated hamed,I was deliriously happy. When Stevie destroyed Benn (twice) after taking his best power shots and not blinking,I was so ****ing happy. When shot Leonard got beaten up by both overrated Norris and shot Camacho,I was like how does it feel now, mother****er?But when past it Leonard conned the judges, and the world, against shot Hagler,I was distraught. But,when past it Marvin hammered the Hit Man,I was so ****ing happy.
Happiest- first fight I saw live. Leonard v. Hagler. I was 10 years old and I idolized Sugar Ray. Showed up at school the next day wearing my SRL boxing robe & gloves-been an addict since then. Saddest- TIE. The shell of Ali getting dusted by Larry Holmes. Tyson asking for help from the ref at the end of the McBride fight. Even though I was never a big Tyson fan, seeing the guy at rockbottom(careerwise) you couldn't help but feel for the guy.
