    jermain always fought the best and never gave excuses when he came up short. the man has a huge heart and its been a pleasure to have watched his career unfold. he is my a favorite fighter of mine and i'm gonna miss him when he hang'em up. we need more guys like him in boxing, badly. fight the best, always respectful, not afraid to go out on his shield, yes sir no sir in corner...class

    In retirement (at the moment) but De la Hoya's last ten opponents include: Pacquaio, Mayweather, Mayorga (yes I know), Hopkins, Sturm, Mosely and Vargas.
