I think Dirrell didn't do himself any favors with all the damn holding. If he would of fought the whole fight like he started fighting in those last rounds Froch would of been in serious trouble.
I was rooting for the Americans and really saw Dirrell exposing Froch, but I was getting as fustrated as the ref was with all the holding, Dirrell didn't need to do all that as he demonstrated in the last rounds.

I would hardly call what Froch did the "chicken dance" but, this fight did raise some serious questions about Froch. For one, can he cut off the ring against someone like Ward or Kessler? I am not sure after his fight with Dirrell. He should watch fights of Kostya Tszyu. Tszyu was a master at cutting off the ring.

Dirrell lost the fight, froch didnt win it. Id say the fight was a draw. Also after watching the fight again, dirrell is a very good fighter. I have to say, if he does have chin issues i dont know who else is going to apply the type of pressure that froch put on him to find out. Perhaps Andrade but hes not even in the tourney. I just dont understand why in the middle rounds dirrell didnt let his hands go because clearly he was much quicker, had better reflexes and the better defence. Froch needs to fight with his hands up, having a very good chin is not an excuse to use it at every oppurtunity.

Great Thread, I just posted that ... Dirrell had an opportunity to knock Froch out late in that fight but was hestitant, I think he'll learn from that ... I can assure you this ... if those two ever fought again, Dirrell will knock him out ... this was a great experience for Dirrell ...

I had the fight 114-113 for Dirrell

That point loss for Dirrell was a complete joke

Froch should've had points taken away ...

Froch is going to get Ricky Hatton'd as well ...

The time that Froch did that little dance was the first time he took a step back in the fight and it was more than a step back ... he looked hurt ... That was a considerable drop off from Froch ... and he lost that round convincingly.

The man deliberately threw Dirrell on the canvas that is an intential foul, and he should have recieved a harsh warning for that....
You all can talk about Dirrell Holding, but at the end of the day it is part of boxing, you can talk about him running, okay, but Running is not a foul and neither of the two are close to being an inentional foul...
Throwing a man to the canvas is a hard foul, its not part of the sport, and **** like that can cause injury to the other fighter, Froch is just a disgrace, I mean when you cant cut the ring off, you handle it by cheating I can dig it.....

Dirrell won the fight, and he didnt have to cheat to get the job done, regardless what the judges said, I know Dirrell won as do most of the boxing fans, the only people who think Froch won are his fans no reasonable fight fan thinks or feels Froch won that fight..

Very good video...my point is that it's a blessing that Dirrell didn't get the win because he will, I'm hoping, improve and do more to win without doubt in his next bout.

Same is said for Froch...maybe he will work on his shortcomings as a fighter with all of the criticism that he is receiving and look much improved during his next bout.

Just because running and holding are not fouls (excessive holding is not legal btw), doesn't mean they are going to be looked on by judges as a positive for the boxer doing them. Ducking below the belt line of the opponent is not legal however, as it only offers the opponent the option to attack illegally, and in that case, neither boxer should be punished for their actions IMO. Intentionally dropping to the floor repeatedly is not a legal defensive move, and the offender should be given a count IMO. They weren't all "slips".
