Who do you think won that fight, Froch or Dirrell?

Bunce is loud and brash, but he LOVES the sport. That counts for something and, while others are happy to line their pockets, Steve is making an effort to get people involved.

The points he made were solid: you come to another guy's hometown, you fight a ridiculously cautious fight that removes all drama and excitement and then you don't out-class the guy... well, you're asking for trouble.

Graham Houston's write up really sums it up pretty well. Look at FightWriterdotcom if you're interested.

Houston's write up is excellent, he is 100% on the money. Some the fickle people who have been offering personal insults to Bunce's credibility, for offering his considered opinion, need to read Houston's write-up. As Houston said it is open to interpretation.

Dirrell did alot of nothing all night, he did manage to make Froch look clueless but he never threw a punch that landed in most rounds so we were looking at 1 Froch punch to 0 Dirrell punches. I had Froch up by 2 rounds.

    **** fight,****ing terrible.

froch got it just for being the aggressor, dirrel lost it for being negative,we have seen it time and time again, the negative boxer losing to the aggressor.
there are and have been great defensive fighters out there, mayweather, whittiker ect,but dirrel aint one of them.
it wil be differant when froch fights abraham,he aint no runner, will stand and trade, and after sat fight with taylor, froch can win it,if he can up his game, hope so

I had Dirrell winning it by a few rounds. Although in fairness, the first three rounds could of gone either way.

As the last round was unfolding, we were trying to second guess the judges and I said I wouldn't be surprised if it was a split decision, and although those of us watching it thought Dirrell should get it, we weren't too surprised the decision went to Froch.

I wasn't a fan of Dirrell's strange amateur-ish running tactics with his hands held high the the air, but I think he landed the better shots and was unlucky not to walk away with the belt. Thought he made Froch look very average indeed

When I was at the fight I thought Dirrell won it by a couple. When I watched it back and scored it I had it 114-113 for Froch, with Froch winning rounds 1,3,6,7,8,9 and 10 a draw because of the point deduction. But, at the time I thought no matter what the score was noone could really argue as at least 9 of the rounds were incredibly close.

Just how i scored it mate. But i gave Froch the 10th because of the point deduction,to make it 115-113 where you must of had it 115-114.
Have to admit on the night though, from the sofa, through one eyed stella goggles,I thought Froch might of lost.

Just watched it, not exactly sure why but anyway

Didnt keep a scorecard, thought Dirrell probably won and deserved to win due to the last 2 rounds, amazed thats the first time hes gone 12 and fair play to him for finishing strong

in a way froch did quite well...bare with me...he couldnt hit the guy, he just couldnt hit him (whether that was down to dirrell or froch not being at his best i dont know) but he managed to upset him, throw him off his game, make it rough and ugly and sneak enough rounds to win it.

    just a few thoughts...

After yesterday its still AA and Ward in the finals. AA has that good shell defense, but once again I gotta stress its Jermaine. The same Jermain who made Froch famous(and we see how well that has worked out). This isn't a "Im sold" or "not sold" issue....because I have called it straight with AA since before Miranda and sending Pavlik in to the witness protection program.

I just refuse to get caught up in the fools gold that Jermaine Taylor always provides, if we were giving out blackbelts for knocking out littleRock Kelly and Froch would have both been 3rd degree Masters. No hate for the Armenian/German (cause frankly what was there to nitpick) The fact is JT needs to hang em up and AA will have to show more if he wants to beat the likes of Ward and Kesslers (smart boxers)...which JT isn't.

Styles make fights. AA style is PERFECT against dudes like JT and Miranda but I'm excited and cant wait to see how his style mixs with mobile, smart boxers like the two I named earlier. Will he be able to break them down? Rough them up? Or more, out box them to a decision....we shall see. This thing is still heating up and is wide open.

As for Mr. Dirrell, the old saying is true "take that **** out of the judges hands" The kid is too green. If you wanna fight like Roy, Swee Pea or WilliePep (lol). You gotta get that wind up. The guy looked gassed and it obviously wasn't from the "deadly strike of the cobra". He could've made it impossible for the judges by throwing more then he held and clearly banking those close early rounds. Fortunately for Dirrell's career he has time to improve and clean up his obvious deficiencies. But at the end of the day...Dirrell's "rookie ways" doesn't explain that bad decision.

He was very strong closing the fight :huh considering it was his first time over 10 rounds, and in a world title fight, thats a bit harsh

if he could keep focused on fighting his fight and be a lot more positive he could be a very good fighter imo

imo Froch nicked it by the fact that a few of the rounds were very close and Froch deserved them being the aggresor

I've said it before - they should have scored it a draw and this whinging bull**** wouldn't be happening. it's like the judges raped Dirrell's mother after giving Froch the win over on the GF.
