Didn't he lose to Povetkin? What chance does he really have against Vlad? Is he just going to be another easy payday like Areola was for Vitali? I'm wondering if the American HW's are finished. I don't see anyone now or the near future that will be a common name like Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, or even Mercer. I am not anti-Europe or anything, but what the hell happened? Can we at least get a competitive HW fight whether it is an American or from Europe? Vitali is just crushing his opponents and Vlad is just boring. I really miss the HW division and all of it's action and glory. Haye and Valuev is just a circus no matter who wins.

There is some truth to that, but you have to remember Ali, Foreman, and Lewis all won gold medals so they proved that they could compete against the East euros of their time.

I give him about as much chance as I did against Tony Thompson...about slim to none.

i am sure east euros always had skill.....they just decided to stay in europe and fight bums to pad their record then come over to the US for paydays with over the hill or past there prime fighters.....oh sorry thats happening now...i guess they would have stepped up earlier

Chambers is for real & I'd give him more chance than most anyone else, but it's still not very high. He sure won't be as easy as Aereolla for VK.

He has no chance. Size difference is too much.

So then how did he beat Dimitrenko? Size means nothing. And yes Dimitrenko uses his height.

Dimitrenko is not Wlad or Vitali. I've seen you say size doesn't matter before. I totally disagree. Let's agree to disagree.

And beating Dimitrenko means what? He looked putrid against Povetkin and against a lethargic, unmotivated, and overweight Sam Peter he never took the fight to Peter when Peter was there to be taken that night. I think Chambers is a good fighter, but if you want to see how this fight turns out look at Wladmir vs Byrd I or better yet Wladmir vs Byrd II.

I like Chambers and I think he's the best American Heavy fighter right now. I'll even go as far as saying I think he might beat Povetkin in a rematch but he's a slightly bigger version of Chris Byrd. Possibly even a slightly better version.

The problem is Chris Byrd was easily outpointed and knocked around the ring by Wlad in the first fight & completely bloodied & KO'd in the rematch.

I think Wladimir would pound the **** outta Chambers & Eddie has a decent chin. It might be a very long, painful to watch affair if the ref, the corner & Eddie let it continue too long.

Eddie did look good against Dimitrenko, who is big & has a similar style as Wladimir, but Wladimir does everything better than Alexander. Jab, power, footwork, speed, did I mention power?

Skill wise Chambers is on par with the Klitschkos. He's got great D, good chin, good speed. He is on par with the Klitschko's in everything except power and size and that will be the difference. I'm not one of these size beats everything type people, and you can see that in my past posts, but here I think that is the difference because of Chambers' style.
