Scorecards look like they were flipping a coin to decide who won a round. People are complaining about the later round scoring, but the early rounds aren't much better. Rounds 1 and 2 Dirrell wasn't doing any running, just outlanding Froch, landing cleaner.

I think the big difference between this fight and other controversial pressure fighter vs boxer-mover type matchups is that Dirrell landed the bigger punches.

My card:

Round 1 – Dirrell 10-9
Round 2- Dirrell 10-9
Round 3 – Froch 10-9
Round 4 – Dirrell 10-9
Round 5- Dirrell 10-9
Round 6 – Froch 10-9
Round 7 – Froch 10-9
Round 8 – Froch 10-9
Round 9 - Dirrell 10-9
Round 10 - 9-9
Round 11- Dirrell 10-9
Round 12 – Dirrell 10-9

Total = Dirrell 115- 112

I don't think you can objectively have Froch winning. Dirrell landed the bigger, cleaner punches, more efficiently and frequently. Froch stayed in it by getting touches with the jab, but they weren't clean stiff punches like Dirrell's. This coming from someone who argued pretty hard for Froch in the leadup to the fight, predicting a late stoppage in a close fight for Froch. Close but clear decision to Dirrell.

on majority vote,

1. f
2. d
3. f
4. d
5. d
6. f
7. f
8. f
9. d
10. d
11. d
12. d
that makes froch 113 and dirrell 115 -1 for holding =114

so it shows dirrell should have won on the cards, but i felt froch had it over all but perhaps that is the fact i am british and saw it that way?:huh

Any Judge who gave Froch the 11th should never score another fight again !

Finally someone who knows what he's talking about. To win a championship from a guy in his backyard you have to look and fight like a champion. The aggressor always or almost always gets the nod from the judges in this type of scenario, even if he's missing a lot, even if he isn't looking that great. That's the way it has usually always been. I thought that was common boxing knowledge. Don't know why people are acting so indignant or confused at these scorecards. . .rewatch DLH-Trinidad please, and there you can even make a far stronger case for DLH defeating Tito than the case you could make for Dirrell beating Froch.

The runners, the holders, the cowards, the crybabies, the fakers and the round-stealers should never expect the sympathy of any judge. . .and rightly so I might add, no matter how skilled they may be.

but i guess you were right about one thing, that last shot was a left hand and not a right hand. I guess I had a hard time remembering a punch that was blocked by Froch's shoulder.

No wonder everyone scored the fight for Dirrell. He doesn't land a single clean punch and everyone is like "OMG DID YOU SEE THE COMBINATION THAT DIRRELL LANDED CLEAN!"

lmao
