I remember all the postponements for the Calzaghe vs LAcy fight. due to joes injury. every one was calling him a coward and all that junk . he came back and put a beat down on Lacy. I have a feeling KP does the same to PW
Well, he has to continue the rehab & get his flexibility back in that hand. I know KP likes to train for 7 weeks for a fight, so the Team is doing the right thing, which I never questioned that they weren't. After such a long lay off, he may want to train 8 weeks to get himself fully prepared.
I wouldn't mind if both guys had an interim fight. That would be especially good if PW could get Sylvester or Sturm in the ring with him. Pavlik/williams in a title unification fight would be HUGE!
Even though I'm pissed about this cancellation I hope Kelly gets better this injury seems like it might be career threatening. And anyone who says Kelly is ducking Williams has no credibility.
Damn......I know PWill has to be heartbroken, this was gonna be the biggest payday of his life. The fight that would launch him to stardom, and he's gonna have to back out of it again, he's almost wasted an entire year chasing this fight smh. sour grapes.
Yeah I feel bad for him. The guy hasn't fought since beating Winky in what seems like over a year ago. He's in his prime now with really no options.:-(
All I can say is get well soon KP, if the injury is that threatening you had no business getting back in the ring in the first place. My only problem is them signing the contract when they knew this was still a problem. I mean thats just dishonest, PWill and Goossen were weary of resigning the contract for this exact reason and look what happens :-( get well soon KP
Arum already blasted Pavlik (publicly) earlier this year about not getting this stapth infection treated properly. Arum must be furious now, this is b.s., Williams move on and fight somebody else. You can always fight Pavlik later.
