If Floyd gets no credit for beating JMM then Cotto shouldn't either if he beats Pac

talk about a double standard. Pac started his career at an even lower weight than Marquez and Cotto has had fights in which he's come into the ring at 160+lbs. Yet people want to overlook this and sweep it under the rug. On the other hand, people were acting like Floyd was a giant in comparison to JMM. If Cotto wins, he should get **** on and discredited for beating a much smaller man.

    FAIL...

Cotto would have beaten a guy who's fought over 140 and is the current JrWW World Champ. JMM never fought over 135 till Mayweather. Nice try little kid...but fail.

Manny Pacquiao has been destroying fighters above the 135lbs mark, whereas Marquez had never even fought north of Lightweight before. I don't think it's comparable. Pacquiao has established himself as force at the higher weights whereas Marquez never did such thing. Likewise, we're bound to hold Mayweather in a higher standard because not only was he considered the best fighter on the planet before his brief retirement, but he proclaims himself to be "greater than Sugar Ray Robinson".

The reason Cotto would get credit is because he's outgunned in numerous categories against Pac. A smaller guy fighting a bigger is perfectly ok as long as the smaller fighter is more talented. Floyd is bigger, faster, and more talented than Marquez. It was a nice comeback fight, but he shouldn't get a lot of credit for that win.

Its just how thing works. Here is the thing, if Floyd was to beat Pac those same people will be cring about it meant nothing because Pac was too little.

Its all BS it really comes down to who they like, as to how the veiw what is done. Example Judah was a **** fight for Floyd, but great fights for Mosley and Cotto. Floyd should never fight Berto but its a dangerous fight for Shane. Shane has no business wanting to fight Pac but its OK for Cotto, even though Cotto holds a win over Shane??? How the **** does that work???

Pac already fought at 147 whereas JMM have not prior to the Floyd fight. And Floyd did not even bother to come down to the contracted weight of 144 lbs to even give JMM a slim chance.

Yet Pacquiao is the favorite for this fight. That would suck for Cotto to win as underdog and yet be a cherrypicker......

    EPIC FAIL ...

Floyd was the heavy 4 to 1 favorite to demolish JMM...

Cotto is a 2 to 1 underdog to lose to the PACman...

Dude, Cotto will fight a boxer who has fought at 147 and 140 and won with flying colours.

Mayweather fought a lightweight who has never even stepped at 140, not to mention that JMM was already flat-footed at 135.

Its obvious Pacquiao is > than Marquez at above 135, 140, 142, 145 or even below (two fights against each other show this)

I wouldn't say Cotto would deserve no credit if he beats Pacquiao, but he definitely wouldn't deserve as much credit as Pacquiao would deserve for beating him. Cotto is the bigger man, naturally stronger, and more natural at the weight. And the fact that he has hung in there with the likes of Mosley, Margarito, and Clottey is reason enough for Cotto to be the favorite, not Pacquiao.
