Illegal substances is used in all sports, and in the really tough sports like cycling, marathon/running, and boxing its even more wide-spread I think. Enhancing your performance by 10-15 percent really means alot in boxing. What´s more surprising is that so few get caught. Im sure there are many out there besides RJJ and Mosley who have been cheating but it seems like its somewhat easy to get away with in boxing.

Dont forget Toney and Hoylfield and I take a hard line on Drugs so absolutely not should these fighters be talked about as HOFer or ATG. Boxing seems to be the only sport where the fans are indifferent to drug use but get all worked up about plaster of Paris.

Dont you dare try to be dismissive of the potentially huge advantages drug use can give a fighter. Steroids come in different forms and there are other performance enhancing drugs out there.

It is the worst kind of cheating in sport.

For ANYONE who argues that Steroids give fighters a completely unsurmountable advantage, they're also saying that fighters from 1970 could never beat fighters of 2009 owing to the differences in training output, sport science and nutrition.

I am not really interested in an in-depth argument about specific anabolic steroids that may or may not provide an insurmountable advantage for boxers.

All that matters is steroids and other performance enhancing drugs could potentially give you an unfair advantage and that is cheating and should be frowned upon. I dont want to hear the counter arguments of apologists for fans of fighters that like to take short cuts.
