The hand speed displayed in this video is epic, and it's a fantastic video with a lot of rare footage, but watching Taylor and Camacho rattle off 4-5 punch combination's is unreal. It's so fast it looks like bad animation.

I think Leonard was the best at combining speed and power, but for pure hand speed, it's either one of those two.

Camacho seemed slightly faster to me.

Perhaps. Camacho has a very strong case of possessing the fastest hands of all time. Taylor is right there, though.

Oh yeah, of course. If Camacho is 10/10 in speed,
    Taylor is 9.8/9.9

Taylor's hands were faster than all, but he isn't committing as much to the punch. Leonard and Camacho commit a little more. Leonard is also the taller and longer of the three, and that says a lot for his speed.

When it comes to being fast with serious impact, Roy Jones Jr. takes the cake.

Both Leonard and Jones are very good at combining handspeed and punching power. That said, purely in terms of hand speed, Camacho and Taylor are perhaps on a different planet to those two.

I'm not disagreeing. Taylor has the fasted hands I've ever seen in the ring, but I'm not sure how much he is committing to each shot. Camacho seemed a tad slower than Taylor, but seemed to be turning his shots over a little more.

Ray Leonard was 5'10" with a 74" reach. Camacho and Taylor were 5'7" or smaller with sub 70" reaches. The fact that he seems near par with them may suggest he is moving faster.

The thing about Jones is that he was committing to his punches. Jones' fast shots landed hard. Imagine what he would look like if flurrying just for the sake of flurrying.

Pure speed I think Camacho just barely edges Taylor.

I love those two highlights by TheGreatA.

Hopefully he makes a third video featuring Terry Norris, Zab Judah, Manny Pacquiao.

Manny Pacquiao need not apply. I think his hand speed is overrated, surely not on the same level as the guys in that video.

Really? Show me some videos that stack up the handspeed of Camacho, because I didn't see any of evidence in the video I posted. Sorry. :huh

Your right that it's not as fast as even Norris or Judah for example but he does deserve a spot in a 3rd video if TheGreatA decides to make one. Me personally I always thought Money Mayweather hand speed was a bit overrated despite me being a fan of his.

Tho in the pro's he didn't reach the heights of these guys Howard Davis Jr. would fit right in for pure handspeed. He was blistering when he let his hands go.
