Wat does he say right afterwards? It's not very like him to be humble so this might actually have some truth.
Gotcha. You know, I just rewatched Fedor vs Arona for the first time in forever. It's ridiculous how much better Fedor got. We always talk about GSP and others improving, but Fedor got WAY better since that fight even though it's still very awkward and free(doesn't prep for particular opponent) style.
Anderson is a quality striker but Fedor has taken huge blows from guys like Cro Cop and Hunt. These guys aren't as good as Silva but they got pop. They both shook Fedor but didn't flatten him. Fedor is not stupid, he'd be all over Silva like flys on ****. Fedors grappling is superior to Silvas.
Fedor has never fought in a cage before. He won't be able to push him to the ropes and utilize the clinch. And when have you seen Fedor apply a single/double leg takedown? Fedor's subs come from off his back, he hardly ever takes anyone down. He'll have to rely on his two hands. Silva beats him in the boxing department. Andrie Arlovski was overwhelming fedor with hands only in a ring none the less, before :dead. Just watch the fujita fight. Fedor is over hyped. Gawd i hope Bret Rogers knocks him out via punches in the 1st round atsch end the hype train forever.
Cro Cop at his best was as good a striker as Anderson is. If not better. I would think if you put gloves on Anderson and stuck him in against Remy Bonjaskey he would get an ass whoopin.
Fedor is arguably the best today at adapting. I'm sure he'd have no issues with the cage. Elbows on the ground would suit him nicely. Fedor doesn't utilise single/double takedowns as much as other fighters because he is a much better grappler. Fedor will trip, throw and reverse non stop. His moves are sick. His 4 min sparring session with Mousasi shows you alot about Fedors versatility in takedowns. Fedors striking is terrible. It pains me to watch. Fedor = hype? That's a terrible thing to say.
