Yes, in terms of his stamina and speed, and his chin wasn't bad either. But the key is one of the most, for sheer speed, power and athleticism, Jones Jr was miles ahead at 168.

Calzaghe was a good fighter but fact of the matter is he has a very, very light resume!!!

He has a win over 2 ATG/HOFers but they were 10-12 years past there primes!!

If it wasn't for his RJJ and Bhop fight he would be considered just another good boxer! Take old RJJ and old Bhop off of his resume and there would really be no threads about his "greatness"!!!!

I'm sorry...Calzaghe was the greatest fighter of our time at 168. Most people on this forum will not recognize this, but i don't care and neither does Joe Calzaghe. if Roy ever had the guts to fight him in 1998 or 2000, he would have gotten beaten soundly and it wouldn't have looked too different from last years fight. Say what you want, but Jones has now adopted the fight style of Joe Calzaghe, focusing on speed, volume, and combination punching instead of the occasional big shot with lightning fast speed and devastating Roy Jones power.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!!

The drug use will always be a cloud over Jones' career and brings some of his victories into question. No doubt he was incredibly gifted but just how much he was aided pharmaceutically damages his legacy.
