1. Pacman-I like southpaws, super fast, exciting style, classy guy and has fought and beaten the best. Who wouldn't want to have Morales, Barrera, JMM, Hatton, De la Hoya on their resume? 2. Barrera-That performance against Hamed was genius, the way he not only outclassed him but roughed him up too showed what this guy can do. He can fight as well as box, all while looking like a student. The first Morales fight is one of the best fights I've seen, and I like his cold expression. 3. Israel Vasquez-"warrior" = possibly the most overused word in boxing along with "great". But Izzy is the definition of warrior. The third Marquez fight was crazy. What a guy. 4. Cotto-Another very classy guy, doesn't like to clinch, nice combinations, very entertaining style to watch. He became one of my faves after the Margarito fight. 5. JMM-thought he edged Pac in the second fight, felt sorry for him, nice counterpuncher, tough as nails.

I struggle to put these guys into any sort of order but my favourite 5 are: Floyd Patterson - When I first read King of the world I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for this guy. I'd never seen any of his fights previosuly but went on to do a bit of research. Loved the way he used his movement and speed but wasn't afraid to get stuck in and trade. Be fantastic to see him in an ATG Cruiser tournament. Nigel Benn - His first fight with Eubank was my earliest memeory of boxing. The British MW/SMW rivalry that he formed part of in the 90s ws what got me interested in the sport. He was easily my pick of that bunch. A relatively well skilled fighter who used heart and soul to overcome any disadvantages he came up against to make sure he always put on a good show in the ring. Down to earth and likeable guy. Juan M Marquez - I can't help but admire this fella's non stop determination. May not be as naturally gifted as some of those he's shared a ring with in terms of speed or power but you'd never know it looking at the outcome of fights. Fantastic precision and ring intelligence. Ricky Hatton - I know this guy isn't the most polished and I don't agree with those who say that he's the most modest and down to earth boxer there is (the guy constantly refers to himself in the third person and has his own clothing line!) but as a fighter to follow he was great! I actually think that he had all of the speed and talent he needed to compete at the same level as the very best in the game (see his hand speed in the early rounds V Mayweather and pre KT fights) but he just wasn't smart enough to use it when it mattered. It was this that made him so exciting to follow. Never afraid of a challenge and always wanted to put on a show for the fans. As has been said being able to follow a fighter day in day out (because he was in his prime whilst I've been a follower of the sport) makes such a difference when it comes to connecting with a fighter and Ricky carried the torch for GB for quite a while. Roberto Duran - Quite simply he was that good! I know not many of the above would grace ATG lists but these are my favourite fighters as a result of how they make me feel when I watch/watched their fights. I often like an underdog or someone who can over come the odds and the person behind the boxer almost always makes a difference as to how I feel watching them fight.
