That's not the point. I like champions who have integrity.

    You know he isn't.

Their will probably be a rematch.

But Shogun shouldn't have to work his ass off as a challenger again.

The man clearly won the fight.

MACHIDA SHOULD BE CHASING A REMATCH NOT SHOGUN!!!

    THIS IS JUST CRAP!!!

I don't think anyone would give it up. Lyoto looked pretty shocked to get the verdict and his speech was basically "oh well, the judges saw it that way I guess", dude knows he got iced, but noones gonna give the belt up.

If anything in the rematch it'll be harder for Lyoto to get the decision, I would imagine.

I am a MAchida fan and thought he was unbeatable, he clearly isn't.

But some ppl are acting like Shogun is a scrub - dont forget this is the guy recently universally recognised as the best lt heavy in the world; looked like crap during his comeback, but he seems to be back now and when hes on hes at the top top top level of the sport.

Machida and Rua are great fighters; can't wait for the rematch.

I'm sure Machida strives to keep you as a fan and will definitely give up his belt the next chance he gets.

    Crap.

He stood in there for 5 rounds with one of the greatest MMA fighters in history and took a beating and gave some back. The judges got it wrong, but it's not Machida's responsibility to make sure Shogun has the belt, it's the judges and Shogun himself that have to do that. If you want to talk about "integrity", how about Shogun turning down a title shot he only earned after beating Liddell (he of the four losses in five fights) and Coleman - two shot fighters, while more deserving challengers are still waiting for their shot. Where's the integrity there?

Machida only owes Shogun a rematch, that's it.

Umm, he was the closest one in line after Rampage who declined to fight either Machida OR Evans. Check your facts.

I haven't seen the fight yet but it can't be as bad as Griffin V Rampage.

    Here's the facts, then.

Rua beat Liddell and Coleman; neither victory is all that impressive.

Evans deserved a rematch before Rua got a title shot. Hendo deserved a shot before Rua. I don't give Rua points for his PRIDE days, that was two years ago. By virture of being a former champ and beating Rua, Forrest Griffin was more deserving, even with the Silva loss.

Well, only an idiot things Rampage got hosed in that fight. Griffin did enough to earn the win, even if you think Jackson won the fight.
