Yea you're right i mean beating Foreman, Liston, Norton, Frazier proves Ali was overrated huh? Gtfo you ******ed anglosaxon cousin.
Ali's got hell of a resume no-one can deny it. But the god-like status so many people give him makes him a bit over rated to me. The thing is we could have said that about any other Great from the past who all seem to be 'sooooooo' much better than today's fighters.
Ali's resume is insane and it's fact. His skill set and all around ability can be argued all you like but you can't argue with that resume (easily fought the best competition in heavyweight history).
Ali can't be the most overrated fighter of all time. Even though the most overrated in any sport, in music, literature, etc. etc. etc. tends to be among the greatest of all time no matter how you cut it, Ali is not the most overrated fighter of all time. For one, there is so much footage of Ali that his skills cannot be denied, his heart cannot be denied, his media-savvy ways changed the sport. He was fearless. He may have had a huge mouth but it isn't bragging if it's the truth. I have not even given much thought to who the most overrated fighter in boxing history is, but it certainly is not Ali. Johnson is definitely more overrated than Ali simply because the opinion on Johnson is based on less concrete evidence than Ali, and no I do not think Johnson is by any means the most overrated fighter of all time. Johnson happened to fight in an era when every fight was not chronicled through film or even print, and the fact that even in the present, where we judge a fighter based upon our perception of their performance through visual means, continues to rank Johnson as one of the greatest of all time says something about his undeniable quality. Tyson is more overrated than Ali
I think this comes down to a broader problem of fighters from previous generations being held in very high or higher regard for no other reason except it was along time ago. Someone just said that Ali beat 7 HOFers but how much more difficult is it for modern day fighters to be considered HOF worthy?
I agree to some degree Joe Calzaghe is a bit overrated. But he had 2 good quality wins in the Lacy & Kessler fights. Those were some good wins and he displayed good skills and relentlessness in both fights against good opposition IMO..
Only Robinson ranks higher than Ali, he rarely went to the body & didnt infight but he had his own unique style & was the best ever HWT... if you think Muhammad Ali was the most overrated boxer ever, you dont know boxing... he could move like no other fighter, had a great jab, teriffic chin, incredible will & heart, excellent combination puncher, great at adapting to different styles, came out on top in 2 separate decades of HWTs (one of those decades, the 70s, being the strongest in any era & the man was past his peak & still ended up the best), he beat some of the best ever fighters & shocked the world once or twice.... not to mention gave some of the most beautiful performances at his peak, looking unbeatable. He was also robbed of his best yrs. Overrated ?.... Try Manny Pacquiao or Lennox Lewis.
Is there anyway of getting this dick banned, he's clearly not serious in what he's saying. I wouldn't be surprised if he's an MMA fan from Wales on here to entertain himself. Clearly watching 'grown men in panties' has messed with this guys head, hence the madness he speaks.
