Hey Boys, I'm new to the forum and wondered about the faithful's thoughts on the rematch as well as, of course, the controversial first bout. Right decision, wrong decision?

I'm taking PM on this rematch. I hope they fight here in Vegas. At least over here, the loser won't be using the hometown decision routine.

great fight, scored it a draw, glad to see Paulie's a 2 handed fighter again, and i can't wait too see the rematch...

also, that catchweight **** was stupid as hell. pick a weight class Diaz, 135 or 140, hell...if you did some roadwork you could even make 130

and also i think people went overboard with the whole "robbery" thing, the fight was damn close could of gone either way in my eyes...but at the same time, one of those score cards were atrocious, i'd like an oral explanation of how he got a score like that...can HBO not interview judges?

and as for who i think wins the rematch, it's toss up....but Diaz is the aggressor so i think the judges will side with him

well, that sums up my thoughts

After all the dust cleared almost everybody agreed on a 115-113 win for Paulie, second most popular choice was a draw. Only Mexicans and Gale Van Hoy had Diaz winning. I tought it was 116-112 for Paulie and I think he'll win more convincingly this time.

The rematch is taking place in Chicago on a very Mexican card, hopefully the fight is scored fairly and Paulie gets the decision he deserves. He really won me over in the first fight but the guy can never be elite with such brittle hands.

As long as its on neutral turf than Paulie will win.

Paulie won the first fight. And hopefully he wins this next one officially.

    Let's go Malignaggi!

Paulie can be elite with brittle hands so long as people give him a fair chance in the scorecards.

Paulie cannot however be very popular with almost no chance of a stoppage. So, he can only ever hope to somehow find himself in the history books... but he will never be widely revered by the masses (and im a huge malignaggi fan). He needs to figure out a way to start putting A class fighters on their asses. He handily outboxes most of the 140 division... but his generation is about to start getting past up. He has to start putting asses down if he wants to start really being considered The MAN at 140
