Allan Green and Edison Miranda are getting all the talk about replacing Taylor. What about Bika? he has a pretty good ranking and has faced good competition like Joe Calzaghe and Lucian Bute. He lost both those fights but he was pretty competitive.

I would love to see him fight Green or Miranda for a shot at Taylors spot. If Taylor decides to pull out of the tournament.

That was a serious off night for Calzaghe, though, struggling for motivation or something. I'd far rather see Green in the Super Six if Taylor pulls out.

+1 Joe was puking in his Hotel room leading up to the fight bc his dinner wouldn't digest, LOL!

Still won nearly every round though...

Bika's decent, but he's lost everytime he's stepped up. He's the sort of fighter Dirrell should have been facing before his fight against Froch, but he's not going to beat Kessler, Ward or Abraham.

They'll probably want to replace an American with an American. Green would be my bet.

Yeah, if anyone should replace Taylor I think it should be Bika. Don't see him winning or anything but still a good replacement.

Agreed with anyone who says that Bika is underrated.
If you claim the guy is nothing.... then you don't know Bika.

Bika v Andrade would be the fight of the century.

Dirrell's camp would never put him up against Bika.
Bika can go 12 rounds and have the same amount of energy in 12 that he did in 1.

Saying Bika lost everytime he stepped up is misleading....
look who he stepped up against: Calzaghe & Bute.
Bute v Bika wasn't a blow out by any means.

And, despite what many of my country mates (USA) might say, losing to Calzaghe is nothing to be ashamed of.
Joe doesn't get enough credit for it.... but Bika was and is a very dangerous fighter, a very good fighter. Many guys would not fight him. And Joe fought him after his fight with Lacy.
People don't give him credit for that fight for 2 reasons: either they don't like Joe or they don't know anything about Bika.

Bika has a bit of a bad reputation for fouling. I know he catches guys with his head a lot, especially left handers. Personally I don't have much taste for him anyway. Personally I would pick a guy who would bring the most entertainment value. But it seems to make the most sense to have Bute in there (I realise he has a fight coming up) since he is undefeated.

Calzaghe won 8 or 9 rounds. It was not a shutout but it was a clear win.

I think Sakio Bika is an excellent choice and if he doesn't get this opportunity he will continue being ignored. This tournament is not about Europe vs USA. It's about helping define the world's best supermiddleweight. I don't think Taylor should be replaced by Allan Green because he's American I think they should find a top quality fighter who will bring excitement to the tournament and win or lose Bika will do that. Allan Green to me is second best option behind Bika.

i imagine Bika would be all the other fighters last choice.

Bika may have lost to the best guys but he is bull strong , really unorthodox , has a great chin and you get no props for beating him

Who the **** wants that !!

... for that reason he would be an interesting choice lol !
