I feel a fighter like Cotto should command respect and appreciation, ill explain why. Earlier I was reading a post where many suggestions were put forward to why Cotto won't fight margarito and how he's running scared etc. I personally thought it was nonsense, simple reason if he chooses not to fight margarito again, its because he's a cheating *******. I mean Cotto fought margarito when apparently he was the most avoided boxer, hats off sir. He fought clottey when not many fighters would go near him, he fought mosley a world class operator. The pattern here is, at some point all of the above fighters have claimed they are being avoided, so I commend Cotto for his high level of opposition. Gives us fight fans what we want. I would feel bitter if the opposition used loaded gloves, would I want anything to do with them again, I doubt it.

As for margarito, he claims he's avoided, why don't you avenge your loss to Williams or mosley, yet he chases after Cotto. Same for mosley, give Williams a shot at 154 maybe? I think these guys lay claim to the avoided tag unfairly. If anyone has claim to it, Paul Williams does. It's amazing how many people bust cottos nuts about fighting margarito again, yet no mention on why margarito doesn't want to avenge Williams.
I know its the whole money issue etc, but cotto took on clottey who's not exactly pay per view, he could have easily taken a much easier opponent for the same money. So money doesn't always dictate. I personally want to see Williams margarito or winky margarito. Mosley winky again at some point. Winky deserves be headlining again at some point.

Cotto is a throwback in many ways. I have nothing but respect for him.

Not to mention he could of easily taken the easy way out against Clottey with the cut, but fought on. And the fact he refuses to clinch. I don't think I've ever seen him tieing up inside.

For a guy his age, Cotto's resume is remarkable. It'd be damn good if he retired after the Pac fight. A Margo rematch is 100% his call in my book.

DOn't hold the breath about Winky getting big fights - 154 and 160 are a dessert and I'd see no reason for Mosely to fight at 154 let alone against Winky. Winky's option is likely to go after a 154 belt; it isn't high-profile, but there just isn't much there for him. Skipping the Taylor rematch was just a huge, petty mistake.

He cliched and then threw Clottey to the canvas so there goes that theory.

    Anyway, Cotto kicks ass.

Cotto is top notch and acts like a champion, always facing the best.

No mainstream boxer, should be called avoided. Not Williams, Winky, Marg or any other fighter that general fans know and see in big TV fights. If they overestimate their star power or think they deserve bigger purses that's their own fault and the main reason they don't get certain fights. Williams refused an immediate rematch offer by team Marg and Wink turned down a rematch with Taylor.
