Who has the better defense Miguel Cotto or Manny Pacquiao?

Miguel Cotto, Pac's defens is based on moving his upper body and jumping in and out, which consumes a lot of energy, therefore it depends on his stamina, the longer the fight goes on the more ineffective it gets.

 

manny will be vulnerable to cotto's counters..... all night !

even if he has miguel hurt he's still dangerous

 

depends on where the fight is fought. pacs defense starts with his feet so he is more efective at long range. cottos defense starts at his waist so he is better inside.

 

pacman has one of the worst defenses in the game, its only his speed and reflexes that save him, but in a boxing stance his defense is terrible, main reason why jmm easily countered him all night,

 

I voted Cotto based on his defensive technique, but Pac hasn't really been hit in his last three fights.

Neither are exactly Willie Pep..Cotto is better schooled and well rounded in this regard but Manny has come a long way in being able to hit and not get hit.

I think Miguel's deficiencies will be more evident when they fight.

 

but pac wont be throwing slow punches he throw fast, accurate punches with bad intention in volumes

 

not sure, come nov. 14 we will have the answer, pac and cotto doesnt have similar defense, as long as your not getting hit much and absorbing much damage from your opponents, we can call it a a good defense. and calling pac's defense worst is just so hillarious:rofl

 

Pacquiao's not as good technique-wise, but ultimately, he gets hit less than Cotto. Pac imo.
