His performance against Mosely was better due to the fact that he found out Shane's weaknesses early on. In the Clottey fight, he was rather late in finding his rhythm. His gameplan may have been different to depending on what kind of fight he was training for. Clottey wasnt as agile as Mosely, hence why train and fight moving around too much?

After Hatton was beaten you heard all sorts of negative comments about Hatton just as not to give any credit to PAC..

PAC is fighting to left over of Margarito :yep:lol:

I've been here long enough to know the various comments against pac everytime he wins:hey

As a huge Cotto fan this is difficult to come to terms with, but I don't think you can attribute Cotto's difficulty with Clottey to Clottey's awkwardness and underated skills alone. Cotto isn't the same.

Compared to the Mosley fight and the few before it Cotto was noticeably different. It's impossible to say whether it's primarily mental or physical but against Clottey he lacked his usual confidence which lead him to hesitate, which completely ****ed his timing. As someone mentioned, he wasn't sitting down on his punches as much and just wasn't using his feet the same. You could almost see him thinking about each move before he did it. All boxers know once you start thinking too much in the ring, you're ****ed, it has to be instinctive. He also was more definsively minded against Clottey as well as having a more simplified defence, and often just covered up and let Clottey tee off. This doesn't work for Cotto. As well as his slick moves his best defence is his counter attack to the body and hook and straight right. Just covering up doesn't work for Cotto. I hope he regains his old swagger for the Pac fight.

Not sure what you mean hear.. Clotty and Shane are two different fighters, with two distinctive styles. Clotty move forward behind a high guard and throws combos when in range. Shane on he other moves forward with his hands down and leaves lots of opportunity too be countered. With Clotty Cotto has to chose his shots and look for opening a lot more then he did with shane. With Shane Cotto was free to let his hands go because of shane low guard and lack of head movement.

So i guess it means in the Clottey fight you going to ignored the bad cut on Cotto left eye for the reason Cotto didn't look like the same when he fought Mosley? And damn i didn't know Clottey style is the same as Mosley lol.

Nah, no excusses here just an observatoin. He hasn't dropped too far off of who he used to be but he certainly isn't the same fighter. IMO the fighter that Fought Mosely still has difficulties with Clottey.

That's because you're an idiot who's starting a typical desperate excuse the Tijuana nurses had to start to make Pac look bad after wiping the floor of the bathroom with their idols.

Different opponents make you look different. Clottey doesn't fight like Mosley and Cotto was coming off a recent KO loss going into that one so being a little more extra cautious with his attacks was normal. If that loss ruined him he would have lost this fight, problem is Clottey is too crap to take advantage of it. Clottey did more damage using illegal tactics and faking injuries than throwing actual punches.

Mosley is NOT Clottey, both don't fight the same. Of course, I don't expect ******s to understand that.

for the life of me i cannot understand why people keep insisting that cotto is not the same since he lost to margarito and he's damaged goods? just because he had a hard time against clottey, while he was fighting with a very bad cut and still managed to pull out the victory? i cannot see where he has gotten any worse. he seems the same to me. and i'll beat if he's reading some of these threads it only making him more determined to prove everybody wrong!
