Dawson could enter SUPER 6

Just being curious...who the hell is out there in the LHW division that is worth fighting for Chad? I mean hes only been fighting old guys, even tho Glenn arguably beat him the first time. I think Chad will win more convincingly this time, but after that where does he go as far as that division? There are a few tough fights out there for him but i dont see anyone beating him. Now if he went down th 168 not only would he have stiffer competition, but he would also be in contention for bigger $$ fights and a possibility to become a star as there are more knowm fighters in that division.

 

I agree it is more of a self-promotion by Gary Shaw, but it is not unrealistic and a great move if Showtime will do it.
I disagree with you that JT will continue. My very good sources say his career is over.

It comes down to what Showtime wants to do. Do they want to keep Dibella happy and let him have his fair share of income from the tournament. Or do they want to do what is best for boxing and their ratings. Dawson is a great choice if he is willing and able.

 

Sounds like Chad is posturing for an HBO extension...doesn't DiBella have dibs on a replacement if Taylor drops out?

 

The problem Dawson is going to have is Glen Johnson. I for one think Glen will squeak out a win or late KO. That will put an end to this discussion. If Dawson wins, I would be surprised if HBO does not tie him up for more fights, at the very least just to take him away from Showtime.

 

Chad 'China' Dawson would get knocked out by either of the European fighters.

Taylor should never have been in it to begin with, alongside all those young hungry lions with zero or one loss. It was only his promotional connections that got him the place to start with. It was fairly obvious all along that having been brutally KOd twice in his last four fights, he was one more loss away from being on the scrapheap!

 

That would be great! Then we could finally settle who is overrated and who isn`t!

Medical. Unfortunate too 'cause the guy is a class act and I would hate to see him forced into retirement.

 

Oscar De la hoya last year said he can make 140 pounds. <<Do you believe him? Anyway imo i don't think Dawson can make 168 pounds but if he can then then him replacing Taylor would be awesome for boxing and i think he should be the favorite to win this tournament. If it happens then Dawson vs Ward would be a real interesting one to say the least but i feel Dawson will win it. Now Dawson vs Dirrell will be a good one cause i heard from people that Dirrell got the better over Dawson in sparring. Well lets see if Dirrell can do that in the pro ring that counts with no headgear.

 

Maybe he would, but i`d like to see him do it instead!
