This is going to be a great fight. Cotto looks super fit and strong and the Pacman looks lightning fast. 2 more weeks of anticipation....
Steward was so annoying that fight. Cotto was landing great shots even almost knocking him down again in the 12th and final round.
If thats the hardest he trains hes going to taking a beating, maybe he trains more intensely than this and it just shows him in a bad light. He has great technique but the speed and stamina won't be enough to hang with Pacquaio unless he trains his ass off
Calm down people... This is an open media work out... he was just doing a light work that day... his not going to show off everything in that type of work out. The fact is that he has trained for quite some time now and that he has properly lose that weight. I am sure that his stamina has improved and he looks strong as an Ox.
I've never ever seen a Miguel Cotto training video where I've thought "damn that's impressive". He always looks slow, like he's training in a lazy way to the rythm of Hector Lavoe songs, whether he's skipping rope, hitting the bag or whatever. He brings it everytime though. I'm 100% sure his training is more intense because there's no way in hell that he can train like that all the time and fight as well as he does. He's just not showing what he's got in his videos. I'd like to see a video of him where he's training at 100%. Don't read too much into Cotto's training videos because he never shows his true self. Having said that, I do think speed will be the decding factor in this fight, and for that reason I think Manny will win because even though he might have slowed down a touch going up in weight, he's still gonna be significantly quicker than Miguel. Edit: I forgot, there is one training video of Cotto where I was impressed. It was when he was doing one arm press ups on a medicine ball, that was cool.
I think Mannys gonna give him hell. A solid grade A ass whoopin. And I like both fighters. But Cotto is too flat-footed and slow to keep up with Manny, imo. He's a very solid boxer though, but Manny's going to present a lot of stylistic problems.
