Obviously these two have a real dislike for eachother and have badmouthed eachother a lot recently, froch calling khan boring and khan saying froch is just jealous of khans publicity. Just wanted to see who the guys on this forum prefer, khan or froch? and why.

In terms of boxing skill, Khan obviously comes out on top. Bar the chin and punching power, Khan exceeds him in all departmants (footwork, speed, accuracy, cominations).

Personality, again I'd pick Khan. As more of us have come to realise, Froch's whole game is to get attention off the fame and achievements of others (Calzaghe and Khan). Furthermore, his boxing ability no where near justifies his arrogance, which makes him even more of a ****. His whole experience with Andre Dirrell is a reminder to us all that he won't even remotely come close to winning the Super 6

    In-ring ability? Khan.
In-ring ability to find a way to win (ie luck)? Froch.

    Boxing ability = Khan
    Chin ability = Froch
Mental ability = Draw - both sound equally ******ed whenever they speak. It frightens me to think just articulate Hatton is compared to them both.

I'll always respect Froch more. He worked his way up through the ranks and took risks to get where he is. He's faced far more dangerous opposition than Khan and has so far remained undefeated. Khan may be the technically more proficient boxer but at least Froch has earned what he's got and isn't a protected hype job. Let's see Khan matched against the best in his division and then we'll see if he's the real deal.

I hate Khan for being a ****ing sellout as much as the next man, but at least he has a decent amateur pedigree, an Olympic medal and a world title (be that as it may of paper) won from a solid B-level fighter fighter. Plus, he's well-disciplined, agile, fast and athletic. Froch can't really say any of that. He may produce exciting fights, but other than heart he doesn't have any particularly special assets.

Froch has an excellent amateur pedigree. He won 2 ABA titles. He was the first Brit to win a medal at the world amateur boxing championships. He has solid wins over credible opposition. Heart, power chin and stamina are pretty special assets in boxing. The Dirrell fight was a poor peformance and I'd be the last person to defend it but I don't see it as a template for his likely performance in the remainder of his Super Six tournament. Dirrell represented probably the worst possible opponent for Froch in terms of styles and Froch still managed (arguably) to pull out the win. I think his record speaks for itself and he cops way too much **** on here. I think that is due to his personality more than his boxing.

Khan and EASILY. You're foolish for starting this thread.

Froch is TERRIBLE in EVERY way. The guy is tomato can quality and will only win wrestling matches hosted in England, Hatton style.

The guy has no speed, terrible timing, no footwork, terrible balance, his combinations makes amateur fighters look super pro and he's more one dimensional than your wooden clone computer. His chin is overrated too, at some point both Direll and Taylor had him nearly out but didn't bite. Ever wondered why he IMMEDIATELY demanded the Abraham match takes place in England after that fight?, he knows his head would be front row after the first punch Abraham lands on him. And this can is actually saying the Abraham/Taylor fight had terrible referee jobs, I didn't see Abraham bodyslam Taylor and get praises from the referee for it.

His amateur career is pretty average for a world champion and certainly doesn't match up to an Olympic Silver. Froch has heart, but that's about it. His chin is good, but it's certainly not unassailable; his stamina is good, but it's still not enough to elevate the whole package - he was pretty quiet against Dirrell, bad style match-up or not. The simple fact is that Froch's boxing ability really isn't anything more than B or C level. If it weren't for the fact that he has guts and has got a lucky run, we wouldn't even be talking about the guy. The Pascal fight could have gone either way; he went life-and-death with a pretty shot Jermain Taylor; and, as has become pretty obvious now, got a gift decision against Pascal. If anything, it's his personality that's keeping him afloat, 'cos it certainly ain't boxing skills.

Froch beat Jurgen Brahmer, Jean Paul Mendy and quite a few others at middleweight as an amateur.

Froch is in a packed division fighting the very best, whilst Khan brings in guys 2 and 3 weight classes below to fight (Limmond barrera st Clair) and only picked on Kotelinik because he's 1 dimensional and only has 12ko from 34 fights (against mediocre oppostion).

When Khan has faced 20-something a former ring magazine, WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF champ in America and knocked him out, then add in another unbeaten fighter when then stepped up and won the WBC in the division above, plus finally... and its my main point.... taken care of all his domestic rivals...will he be mentioned in the same breath as Froch.

    Fact is,

If Khan was in a 140lb version of the super six against Pacquiao, Bradley, Hatton, Torres, Holt etc.... HE'D COME LAST.
