David Haye is not just good for boxing.... he's Great for boxing. Anyone that threatens the robotic eastern European domination of the HW division is good for the sport. The fact that he's got a Big punch and mouth makes him Great for the sport
Injuries are all part of the game. The fans lost out in that instance, but as the phrase goes "Hey that's Boxing" It was the Klits who stopped the fight being rescheduled by refusing to negotiate realistically, hence why we're about to see Haye-Valuev. Which will soon be followed by Haye-Wlad then Haye-Vitali :happy:happy:happy
Haye confirms a lot of people's idea that boxers are loud mouthed and unintelligent. Just look at his last "press conference".
The question is "Is David Haye Good or Bad for Boxing? He is good for Boxing. Haye looks the part, he is charismatic, and he can put on entertaining fights that casual fans will enjoy. You can agrue all day about his attitude, him not fighting the Klitchs etc...........but if he beats Value he is the type of guy that people want on the late night talk shows talking trash. His charisma is the best assest for the Heavyweight Division. He can bring excitement back to the division which is only a good thing. The problem is he has to defeat Valuev and become the WBA Heavyweight Champion first and that will be no easy task.
any guy as good a boxer as Haye is good for boxing. What his mind games and cancellations hurt is Haye himself. But he is a legitmate good fighter. In a way to beat Valuev he might have to abandon his best weapon and just box and win a decision. His right hand might not be as much of a factor except to maybe keep Valuev from using his size, but Valuev never uses his size. Valuev is not as easy a fight as some think. He is big and he could make Haye tire out, and then he could just finish off a tired out Haye. The fight November 7 is interesting.
Foreman never talked like Haye at any stage in his career. Like our current HW Champions he always let his fists do the talking :yep
