Williams will likely weigh in at 157 pounds. At 154 pounds or 160 pounds makes no differents. Look Spinks fought at 160 pounds for the fight time and most thought Spinks beat Taylor. Slick fighters will have no problem at a higher weight then 1 dimensional fighter.

You know, this is actually a much better/competitive fight than watching Williams expose the one dimensional Pavlic again for being a crude club fighter.

Yeah but Sergio wasn't lifting weights for that five minutes. Yet, after that Cintron was fighting well, not just hanging on. Martinez should have been able to go right back to winning, but he couldn't.

I agree, it's been a year since Williams has fought at Welter, and I think he pretty much outgrew it. From here on out, Paul fights at 154 minimum.

I can understand the fight being at Middle because of short notice, but considering Williams weights under 160 for his fights at Middle

who's to say he couldn't have dropped the 2-3 pounds and made Super Welter?

It's my understanding that Goosen simply refused to put up enough money for Sergio to put his title on the line. That could be the reason he aggreed to fight above 154.

I think Sergio has a shot of sending PW to bootyville.

The imaginary headbutt was an odd moment (that I haven't had the chance to watch again.) I don't remember Cintron actually being knocked out, he just knelt there because he thought he got headbutted and then managed to get the KO call reversed. I just thought it was curious that the fight seemed to take such a turn afterwards. Martinez was (I seem to remember) pretty clearly winning early and then it was going back and forth after that. Why did it work to Cintrons advantage? I wasn't "blaming" Martinez for it but shouldn't he have been able to just go back to outboxing Kermit.

You're an idiot, he did go right back to winning, the 8th round was probably Sergio's best.
