A mate of mine met Small at a community event, apparently he was a nice chap. He really ought to fight Pryce again to settle scores before moving up a level.

I think he should fight Ncdonagh then loser of rhodes/moore (Feb/March) and then pryce (June/July) then fight for the European (Sept/Oct) and then one defence (Dec 09/Jan 10( then a world titile (early 10)

Everybody seems to be writing off Tommy mc, i wouldnt underestimate him. If the right Thomas Mcdonagh turns up on the night he has every chance of winning this fight. I think Smalls and Mcdonagh have similar styles, but Tommy has alot more tricks, he's tricky and hard to hit! He knows this is his last real chance of landing a title and giving one last push to get to the top, so that will drive him on, he is a genuine talent and hasn't been given the credit he deserves.

Should be a routine win for Small, I would of liked to see him step up in quality after the Hall fight

That fight stunk the joint out.... don't gauge McDonaghs chin on that contest...I think that Smal will TKO McDonagh if he decides to have a fight of it and not get on his bike like he did v Alexander...:yep

Sam Webb was offered the fight and said he was not ready. McDonagh only lost to Webb by 1 round on a refs decision.

Should have been Small vs Sam Webb...

I saw them fight in the SE London ABAs at Crystal Palace in 2004 or 2005 and it was a great fight.

He still has not fought since. Surely they could find an opponent not comin g off a loss or make it non title.

mcdonagh is capable of beating small it just depends on his work rate as he is usually very lazy. mcdonagh will win on points

I am not saying that McDonagh is not a decent fighter or that he should not be fighting guys like Small. It just is a bit **** that a guy coming off a loss who has not fought for ages is getting a straight shot.
