Tony Dodson has called out Paul Smith, he has done it publicly on the mersey gloves forum.

What should Smigga do? How would the fight go?

Dodson needs to get in line, Quigley deserves a rematch then Magee should get a shot

I think Magee vs Smith is the fight to make. Quigley lost a close fight and a rematch would be cool but Magees been out for a while. I don't see why Quigley deserves the rematch with Smith if Dodson hasn't got his rematch with Quigley.

    Magee vs Smith
    Quigley vs Dodson

    Make the ****ing fight happen.

  4. I'd agree with these two. Quigley-Dodson II should be an eliminator.

Could anyone see Smith vacating without defending & going straight for the WBO?

Smith was awfully disappointing the other night, have to say that I don't think he's going beyond British level- there was nothing at all about his performance the other night. I thought he lost the fight but even winning it he showed how one dimensional he is. He looks a league below the likes of Macklin etc... he'll probably get a world title shot on the back of his 64-1 record but I have serious doubts about his ability. At least Quigley made a fight of it. Smith was incapable of making any impression it seemed.

    Davies beat Napa too.

Smith is always disapointing and is an awful fighter. Quigly did little to keep his belt but should still be champ. Dodson needs a fight before he gets another title shot.

I would love to see Magee in the fight with Smith next. Magee wins.

Smith had his angry face on, but there was nothing angry about his performance.

    Dodson is a journeyman.

But I think he could beat Smith actually.

we will see Smith fighting for the WBO title before he takes a fight agaisnt Magee.

Dodson is a logical fight though. I think Magee is going for the euro title btw

I think Smith v Dodson's a reasonable fight if Smith wants to pursue a Londsdale Belt.

I didn't see much in Quigley at all other than determination and a decent chin. Fair play to him for making it such a close fight with such limitations though. Smith's a better boxer but never going to cause problems above British title at SMW and building a good paper record.

I think it is funny how so many people see the fight in so many different ways.
I saw it close, but no question smith won, especially with the last wo rounds.
With regards to dodson, i really respect the man.
But i dont buy that Smith is saying he wont fight him. I can understand smith saying get in line, but i dont buy him saying he wont fight him. Paul knows who he needs to fight and beat to be the best british smw.
As regards euro/world level, smith has it in him, but he needs to consolidate at british level first.
the wbo aren't doing him any favours currently with the ranking. top ten/fifteen probably, but not number 4.
But he has more gears to go up

I would like to see Tony fight for the vacant Commonwealth title which would be logical because if David Haye wins at the weekend he could get a tv deal for him and his promotional company and being able to offer 2 domestic title holders would certainly be a plus for him.

After that a domestic unification would be a much bigger fight for it and for the record I see Tony winning this I like Paul but seriously doubt his ability he always has excuses for the consistent poor performances that he gives.

    poor by whose standards.
There are plenty of fighter that would have been proud to have beaten the current smw champion, landed some good punches, and in general done the better work.
Was good against matumla, healey, bilak, thornton, needed a kick up the arse to beat renda, and unlucky against bendall.
any way, would love smigga and dodson to get it on at some point, would be the bollocks

The way Smith and Quigley gave it large you thought they were gonna kill each other.
