Its a sad state for British boxing when the British champ gets knocked out by Albert Sosnoski, then loses to Carl Baker in prizefighter and is allowed to keep his British Title. Danny is shot and will continue to fight on until the regulators put Danny out of his misery and take his license away.

Hope he doesn't get really hurt, as he clearly cannot take a punch any more. :patsch

He's finished simple as that, I think he has got people around urging him to keep fighting on, Hes going to get seriously hurt if he keeps going on, it will be a shame if something tragic happend to one of british boxing best servents.

I love Danny but after the recent debacle with The Fridge he should have hanged them up.

Even when it was rumoured he'd retired after the Baker fight, I didn't really believe it.

I'd have loved to have been wrong. Instead here's Danny again. Guy's got to make a living I suppose but his punch resistance seems so gone, any limited success just sets him up for a beating from a better opponent in the future and Danny really doesn't need any more beatings IMO.

Questions must be asked of the people around him. He doesn't need the money, so why is he fighting on when he's clearly shot to ****

I can't see Danny giving us any more heroic performances tbh....Or non against any quality opposition.

It'll be sad to see him gettin battered by someone like Chisora for the title.

Awful move, no other way to see it.

As for the 'tune up', if the Baker fight told us anything it told us no fight against any opponent could be considered that at this stage for Williams. Everything is life and death...thats how far he's fallen.

By my calculations he's actually been 'shot' for 2 or 3 years now. Not just past it but shot.

Williams would have won that fight had it been over more rounds, so it is perhaps unfair just to judge him on that.

Personally I think he has been cooked for a long while though.
