Maybe that's he is trying to avoid overtraining by scaling down on some portions of his training. I have confidence in his training regime though he is not new in this sport and you dont get to this level by not working hard. He seems to have a pretty good team around him (not leeches, you know what im talking about) and Cotto's dad seems like a person who will keep them in check if they start messing around.
Cotto definitely does a lot of preserving himself. I believe Torres commented on it. He works for hours and hours but he goes real easy. I have no qualms, seems sound to me
After Paquiao is stopped November 14th, he is going to be saying "he is faster than I thought, hes also very smart fighter, I did my best but Cotto was the better fighter tonight"
