I see so many articles out there about how Pac is not focused and all that, is this ANY true. Can anyone normal explain this?, please the heartbroken Tijuana organic orange juice sellers get the heck out of this thread as I don't care about your drunken worthless opinion about how having no defense and canvas licking = skill.

Any normal boxing or Pac fan to explain what's going on here?, am I missing something?, is Pac REALLY not focused?. Did all those comments have ANY affect on the odds?

    Thanks.

Seems like people are buying into fictional/forced drama that in truth probably hasn't had much bearing on Pacquiao.

He looks great, he has a brilliant work ethic. Why in the biggest fight of his career would he suddenly stop training like a beast like he has in just about every other fight of his career? We should see the same Pacquiao we saw against Hatton, and if he loses, it will be no fault of training, just Cotto being one step too far.

He's as focused as possible taking into account that he started training in the Phillippines...

I trust Alex Ariza and the man said Pacquiao reached another level in this training camp. He's combining power and speed more than ever before, since they started working together.

Thanks for the response Konaman, Pasky and Juanitoboxing, however I wouldn't start a thread if this was only nonsense talk. I usually go to a site which views links to various updated boxing articles and I was shocked this morning to see that there are A LOT about how Pac isn't focused or MIGHT not be. This hasn't been the case for other fights where similar rumors started and not close, that's why I'm questioning this, maybe someone knows something I don't or missed, would appreciate the information.

I've also read Pac himself say this is probably the hardest fight of his career, so I don't see why he wouldn't be training hard.

Roach says the camp is going great.

You should just trust what you hear out of the horses mouth, not the conjecture.

I think its more of mind games. Roach said he's not underestimating Cotto, and will try to get under his skin as much as possible. These rumors about him not being focused might also be products of events surrounding the Pac camp, the typhoon, etc... Pac is focused and having fun training for the fight.

The thing is the focus speculation began before he even started training. Remember when Pacquiao was making a movie before his training camp started and the media had already begun the process of upping the underdog (Cotto, who had an 11 week training camp) and lowering Pacquiao's status, when clearly the movie had no effect on his training camp because it was still the usual 8 weeks.

I think there is definitely merit in the reports of drama in Pacquiao's camp, but i don't think that because two guys in the camp are arguing, or Roach wished he left earlier, that Manny is going to run any slower or hit the pads with any less intensity etc. The clips we saw on 24/7 showed them really pushing Manny by the look of it, seemingly no different to normal.

I could be completely wrong but i think 90% of the reports are just part of the natural process of cooking up drama that isn't really there, exaggerating it, for the gain of the media source.

Its just as easy to turn it on Cotto. You would take one look at Cotto and say that the evidence (brief clips of video) we have shows him training softer than your average boxercise goer, and that he doesn't look particularly cut like Manny does, maybe indicating that he isn't doing sufficient road work.

It is interesting that there are so many articles about Pacquiao's camp shone in a negative light, but the truth is, the same old stories mirroring the past two training camps wouldn't create a stir or get spread around like drama-filled anecdotes will.

I guess we can really only wait and see though.

There were more distractions in this camp compared to camps in the past. And that difference is highlighted in newsreports, forums, and the 24/7 show. Overall, it's been a great camp according to Team Pacquiao. Anyone who buys that Pac is lacking focus for his upcoming fight with Cotto needs to get a reality check. A few days of distractions (typhoons, training in Manila) does not negate 7 and a half weeks of soild focused training.

If pac loses it's not because he iwas not focus... it's because cotto is just bigger and better. It will be the usual pac that we will be seeing come fight night, that's what i believe.
