why couldn't GBP push the mosley-floyd fight?

Then he'll fight Cotto in New York for a ton of money. You gotta remember that no matter how much some people hate Oscar (and I'm starting to become one of them) he is an excellent businessman and nobody is more about the money than the Golden Boy! Floyd flaunts it and all but if Oscar woke up tomorrow with Floyd's money he'd swan dive off a bridge.

Mainly for finantial reasons that benefit all fighters, Hatton vs Mayweather makes more money for both and 4 GBP and Mosley still makes a lot of money fighting Cotto, Shane has always the chance to make more money next if he wins in impressive fashion now, same logic for Miguel A. Cotto...

Heres the way I see it : Mosley tried to get Floyd in the ring, and even Oscar tried to lure floyd away from hatton. I think they maby agreed, that If Shane wins against Cotto his name will draw more money, and Oscar is there to fight any looser of these two fights.
After Mosley and PBF wins, Floyd will fight Mosley, while cotto will fight oscar, and Hatton will fight some someone lesser in 147 and will wait until oscar is finished with Cotto. (most money scenario IMO)
But if Cotto wins then I realy doubt Floyd will fight Cotto, instead he might go after De lahoya again.

Mayweather wanted Hatton instead of Mosley, he knows Mosley would beat him, so he wanted no part of that.

    Hatton is a cash-cow obviously.

But also they are just feeding Mosley to Cotto, so Miguel has a big name win on his record for low risk.

The answer is simple. Oscar sees two real money options for himself; a rematch with Floyd or a fight with Hatton. Having Hatton and Floyd fight is THE BEST thing for OSCAR right now. They are doing another 24/7 show, both these guys are going to be getting a shitload of exposure from that and this upcoming superfight. It's a win/win for Hoya. If Floyd destroys Hatton, he is even more popular than before and then Hoya can rematch him and make a shitload of money. The rematch right now isn't as appealling as a result of the lack of action in their first fight, but a Floyd demolition of the smaller Hatton will bring interest right back.....'it's a new Floyd', 'he's gonna destroy Hoya like he did Hatton', etc etc, of course for this to work Floyd HAS TO actually beat the **** out of him and not just out-point him. On the flip side, if Hatton miraculously beats Floyd, this mega-fight with him and Hoya will sell itself....literally. Both fighters already have a huge following. The only problem with the fight now is that Hoya is so much bigger and there is really no reason or excuse for them to fight. But after Hatton beats Floyd all that is fixed, and now Hoya has a legitimate reason to fight Hatton, and will get respect if he beats him.

Thats why Hatton got the Floyd fight and Shane didn't. :good

No way, Mayweather would be the harder fight because Mosley has problems with fighters that use movement in their defense.

GBP held an option over Mayweather, the combination of Mayweather/Hatton and Cotto/Mosley makes TONS more money for GBP than would just a Mayweather/Mosley fight. It's not even close.

I am right. I'm always right.

You however, are wrong. Oscar will fight Floyd again. Anything he says otherwise is bull**** and can be chalked up as negotiation tactics. It's funny that you claim everything Oscar says is horse****, but believe him when he says he won't fight Floyd again. Why wouldn't he? He barely lost the fight. You say Floyd is 'far superior', yet he eeked out a decision in a fight he was losing early on. :deal
