On that list Sugar Ray Leonard is the fastest, followed by Shane Mosley. Shane Mosley is fast as hell in training, he just doesn't use his speed in the ring because he punches with all his body and power and this isn't focusing on his speed. His hand speed is up there though. Floyd Mayweather Jr's handspeed is slower than probably everyone on that list, he's slower than Judah, and around the same speed as Cotto. DLH in his prime was faster than FMJ in his prime, at least in terms of hand speed. What Floyd has is brilliant defense and timing, he doesn't have the fastest hands in any of the divisions hes been in.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwyG8E3Tzdo[/ame] the second fastest fighter Shane Mosley, clearly faster than DLH, Mayweather and Pacquaio as evidenced by the video.
Maybe not the fastest, but more impressive than fast welterweights: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbLfXGVGz-4[/ame]
I forgot RJJ. But oh well, the question isn't who was the fastest all time. I forgot lots of people. But the question is about the list up above not who are you a fan of that I left out. DLH was plenty fast, but not as fast as many of the slicksters I have posted. Against most boxers Hoya was fast, but against Mosley, who I consider neck and neck with RJJ as fastest since Ray Leonard he didn't measure up,and that's saying alot because DLH was very fast. But when you talk about Mosley and Pacquaio you are on a different speed level. :good
Out of the above, Camacho or Taylor. Though in the hand-speed department, I'd say a prime Howard Davis Jr had the quickest hands of any fighter I've had the privilege of watching.
