Is anybody else stumped by the fact that Haye has been made favourite by the bookies?? I was shocked to see the prices last night, thought they should have been the other way round for sure. And the reason i say this isnt due to him fighting a 7ft2" mofo, but because hes fighting in fooking Germany!! Even if he knocks valuev down 5 times in each round the judges will find a way of giving a draw or SD! I want haye to win big time, but IMO the odds are stacked against him alot greater than being made out.
Not really, no - bookies have to adjust the odds depending on how much money has been staked, and 80% of all UK bets so far have been on Haye. It's the typical patriotic bet.
"You never see a poor bookie", they know their stuff. Haye's going to be teeing off on Valuev the speed difference will be flabbergasting. It depends on how tough this BIG Russian is as to how long the fight will last, Valuevs never been Hayemakered before, so who knows what will happen TTTTIIIIIMMMMBBBEEEEERRRRR!!!!!
I personally bet Valuev by decision. But, that isn't necessarily because I think there could be a big robbery. Sure, it helps if the fight is close. But, I think Haye is going to have a hard time getting inside on Valuev. I don't see Haye as fighting the disciplined fight that Chagaev did. And he isn't going to be landing the straight left that Chagaev was constantly able to. I'll be surprised if Haye giving away 100 pounds is going to be able to KO Valuev.
