Would De La Hoya have stood up to Pac's final left hand on Hatton?

Pac feinted with the right to set up the KO shot and to eliminate a counter from Hatton's lead hand. He wasn't that wide open, if even open at all.

I agree that it's impossible catch DLH with that kind of punch but I don't think that even his iron chin can withstand that kind of a Perfect Shot.

Yup Cotto did say it early in the camp. Hatton isn't a "Eurobum".

That was a great shot Manny hit Hatton with, But :patsch I we all know the poster of this thread is a *******,who is just trying to get reaction. He just be Happy that Pac did not fight a prime Oscar who would have took his boy out in 6. Even a drained Oscar did nto allow himself to be clocked like that.Bottom line the ***** that put out this thread has obviously never been in the ring, because if he was he would know that anyone could be kod with the perfect shot.

Oscar never caught a punch like that in his whole career... He was'nt that stupid! (sorry Ricky)

But if he did, he kisses the canvas for sure... That was one nasty shot.

you might wanna go look at that ko and see where rickys hands were...as bad as oscar did he was never caught with his hands down like that...oscar was having trouble with pacs speed though...oscar wouldnt have put himself in a position not to see that punch coming...manny kicked oscars ass without any question but he couldnt ko him....on top of that oscar has a better chin than ricky imo

Pacquiao ripped De La Hoya apart, but he never landed a punch that clean and solid on Oscar's chin as the one that put Hatton out. I don't think anyone - including Cotto would still be standing after taking a shot like that. That was one helluva punch.

Are you as stupid as your little buddy Maxi. Hatton is probably 40 pounds overweight right now and he could still kick your ass 10 times out of 10.

lol nah but for real, that was a hard punch and i think someone even like Mosley would of been down too from that shot, but I think Mosley would of gotten knocked down, but he would beat the 10 count imo.

He might get KOd after wards tho a few seconds later tho. It was a hard, right on the button, shot that was thrown at some pretty good force.

So, yes i think that shot would of KOd a pretty good amount of fighters today and even in the past. Im sure the verry good ones like Oscar. Mosley, Mayorga or w/e other famous weltherweight/ w/e, would of tooken that punch, sure. but the key to it is really, to survive afterwards that punch.... cause that lil Filipino is gonna be all up in that **** asap lol

The fact that Hatton never really gotten up from that shot is plainly because he is pretty much a deterioted fighter. that guy took a lot of hard/decent shots in his career, im sure. I mean the guy's a a bar fighter really... *in a good way*

But that shot Manny landed was clearly to much to handle for the "already hit a million times in the face" Hatton.

Bigger guys usually have bigger heads. But that isn't all. The strength in your neck and shoulders that keep your head from snapping back is what counts most. A strong Cruiser weight could have taken that shot OK.

Some big guys can take monster shots and laugh it off. It is pretty intimidating to nail somebody with a perfect shot and it doesn't faze him.

Nah, it probably would have felled DLH.
