I think you are right.. I have been on the fence with this fight but I am leaning toward Valuev.... I think this is just to much for Haye.... Problem for Haye IMO: Never fought anyone close to Valuevs size Ring rust (1 fight in 18+ months) Underestimating Valuev Chin Stamina
wow, you guys supporting valuev (motorhead) are a little TOO confident. just promise me you dont shoot yourselves if haye beats valuev. because all this corny **** about "awakening the giant" is just sounding stupid, well.. it really sounded stupid to begin with. for the valuevs suppoters sake, i hope valuev wins.
Could it possibly work for Haye that whenever Valuev leans on him to just drop to his knees... in a sense purposly bucklin under the pressure... so that th eref breaks the action gives Haye a chance to get to his feet re set and continue??? This way Haye wouldn't have to be worried about clinches.... Im just takin a wild stab into what seems a good idea in theory... not sure that Haye could continue to get away with it without bein penalized but who knows..
yeah i think liver punches are the way to beat valuev considering he'll have a liver the size of a normal guy's head. whether haye will persevere with bodypunching im not sure
Thanks for your input. So I presume you think that Ruiz and Holyfield are as fast and hit as hard as Haye? Interesting take...
Just finished watching Holyfield/Valuev. Even at the age of 46 Holyfield still managed to slip most of Valuevs punches and counter with the left hook. I see Haye taking his time, measuring Valuev before timing him with over hand rights throught the middle rounds. My prediction Haye TKO 7
He had people talking mostly about fights that didn't happen. If low - class trash talk without any real humor and fighting once a year is good for boxing fans in the UK, something is wrong there.
It's funny how people go on about him not fighting for a while and pulling out of fights. Fine, if he hasn't arranged another bout but he is fighting for the ****ing title tomorrow. Give it a rest and get a grip.
Just to remind people 1-valuev is horrible to watch 2-no one gave a **** about him until he was fighting haye atsch 3-valuev gets more gifts then santa gives out at christmas :yep lets hope haye ends it for him and the sake of everybody else and sets up a unification against a klitschko, as valuev will never fight either :good
I just can't see a Haye KO over Valuev. I see him winning a clear points decision. Valuev hasn't even been knocked down IIRC in over 50 fights. If Haye can knock him out he will have achieved something that no other heavy has done. But I just don't see it happening. There is a reason why Valuev hasn't been knocked down. Haye should be able to win a clear points decision. Any boxer in or around the top ten in the Heavy division should be able to do the same. Valuev is just so ordinary. If Haye really wants to knock Valuev out then it isn't a bad idea to work his body. He will get no leverage if he goes headhunting. I don't think he has to worry about Valuev leaning on him - it is a tactic that Valuev hasn't mastered.
