:huh What? I say if you score single rounds using the same exact system, which should be based on clean effective punching, you should have about 7-8 Haye and 7-8 Dirrell rounds. Yet if you have completely different cards, I guess your scoring system is suspect. I don't say it was the same exact fight, but it went down the same way regarding different "styles" of scoring and post-fight discussions.
How you compare that to dirrell who spent the entire fight literally sprinting away falling on the floor and hugging to avoid froch being allowed to land a punch ? Haye fought on the back foot but you cannot at any stage compare that to what dirrell did
Dirrell spent very little time out of range compared to Haye. Stop making **** up to rationalize your biases.
Here's the thing for me: Dirrell was effective throughout as he boxed and moved. Though he gets accused of running, he was actually tagging Froch regularly and Froch was ineffective in his aggression. Haye, however, did not put on a performance such as Dirrell. Haye barely threw any punches. Haye tried to steal rounds, and one or two power punches a round does not beat Valuev's 90% of controlling the rounds that he did. Or sometimes the "round stealing" worked. Ultimately, I think anyone should agree that there were a lot of very unclear rounds where you could choose between Haye's two or three punches that landed or two minutes and forty-five seconds of Valuev jabbing and pushing Haye around the ring.
Dirrell tried to cheat his way to a win he basically landed his shots then #1 fell on the floor to avoid getting hit #2 literally ran away and i mean actually running #3 held on for dear life at every stage #4 ducking illegally low sorry but i don't care how many clean blows dirrell landed he tried to cheat his way to a win and didn't deserve the nod jeez froch could have run after him landed a punch then hugged him all night after landing 1 shot and gets the win ?
I'm not making **** up, it was clear as day, to me and to many other people. I'm not saying i didn't have him winning, i'm saying the comparisons between him and Haye are poor as Haye wasn't fighting dirty. How often did Haye clinch for example?
nonsense there's a difference between landing a clean blow and using footwork and defence than hugging and falling on the floor deliberately to stop the other guy getting any scoring shots in the judges are going to mark someone down when they use such tactics to spoil the other fighters work. seriously how thick are some of you yanks on here ? you cant bloody get your punches in then fall over or hug to stop the other guy scoring and expect to win rounds against a champion in his back yard and nor should you deserve to.
You are an utter spastic. I Am a qualifield judge I rewarched the froch fight and it confirmed froch won. This wasn't even that close. The anti British on here it pathetic, and you embarrass yourself (I am in nj btw) Get a ****ing grip
Both were close fights. I gave Haye this fight and Froch his fight. In the Froch fight, Dirrel failed to seriously tag Froch regularly and ran round the ring, got hit himself, whilst moaning and falling over, hardly selling himself. In tonights fight Haye tagged Valuev regularly, Valuev hit Haye's head about twice in 36 minutes and Haye always looked sure of himself, using head movement and speed to avoid hits whilst remaining in range unlike Dirrel.
Eh?atsch:-( (see, I can use them as well!) Sorry but I just don't see it at all. Just because you score for one style of fighter in one fight, it doesn't mean you have to score for the same style in another fight. While they are similar, Its very simplistic to just say Dirrel/ Froch and Haye/ Valuev are essentially the same fights and should be scored the same. What if you thought Valuevs aggression was more effective than Frochs ? Do you still have to score the fight for Haye because you scored the first fight for Dirrell?
