Dawson doing a lot of dancing around the ring, and then potshotting the ancient Johnson.

 

this fight is pretty boring.....johnson is going to have to score a KO to win....

 

Chad opening up a bit offensively this round, Johnson trying and trying, eating some counters for his efforts. Sorry boys, got this one a wipe out thus far.
6-0 Dawson

 

Round 6
Johnson is a machine, but he's a sloooooooooow machine. He is, however, managing to close the distance and connect a bit. Dawson still more accurate and the better ring general. Johnson landing the jab but unable to follow up - Dawson almost using Johnson's own jab against him as a range finder, knowing when to move out of the way of anything he might want to follow up with. Dawson getting cute, crouches in front of Johnson, who just plods at him and sinks a couple of jabs in his chest.

Best Johnson round. On the fence...what the hell, I'll give it to him.

HBO is really riding Dawson's nuts', and even though he's winning, I'm not particularly impressed. This Chad is good, but he ain't great IMO.

 

Thats about right, I gave a mercy round to Johnson in the 5th but otherwise a wipeout.

Harold Lederman's scorecard is exactly the same as mine. Sometimes he's on point. Of course this is ridiculously easy to score. The only iffy round was the 6th and almost anybody with a beating heart would have to give it to the Road Warrior out of sympathy alone, being that it was so close. :yep


Round 7
Dawson fairly negative. Switches orthodox, then southpaw again. Quintuple jab, two land. He hasn't allowed Glen to land anything of note but hasn't done much himself either. Johnson digs into and finds Chad's body. Dawson returns fire downstairs trying to steal the round. He gets it on my card - barely.
