... like Lennox Lewis when he first won the title? He put on a awesome performance vs. Tony Tucker.

Or Mike Tyson when he destroyed Trevor Berbick?

Or even Riddick Bowe in his classic war with Holyfield?

Or even Holyfield destroying the comming off Mike Tyson win, Buster Douglas?

Those were all great HWs in my time, and they have all won thier first belt in a impressive and convincing fashion to put a stamp on the HW division.

How does this "victory" David Haye got compare to the greats?

Truly, this fight was a pathetic first attempt to win a title by David Haye. He lacked motivation and struggled to find anything. Especially the pre fight build up he has caused and the ruckus, whilst he didnt even do more than half the **** he said. "Im going to the body, combinations, im going to knock him out"

lol yea right dude, you barley landed / thrown any combinations and you werent even really close to knocking Valuev out. Where was your speed in this fight? Or where were those so called body punches, cause i didnt see any? Man, Chagaev has sopesebly lesser speed than you yet he dominated that Russian in a 8-4 CLEAR UD.

I think Valuev won the fight, its arguable Haye won the fight, but did he deserve this belt / victory?

    **** no.

    loll thats all

The other guys weren't facing someone who had a hundred pounds and eleven inches on them, were they? Not that I can remember. Anyway, blah, blah, blah.

    ....Seriously?

We're comparing David Haye to those guys just to prove an unfeasible point?

    I don't want to say you're reaching but...yeah.

The Tyson who fought McBride could have done better than that.

Hell, Tyson could come out of retirement if he got a shot at Haye!

I don't think Mike should come out of retirement for a shot at Butterbean.

Haye was promoting the fight. He may be a dick and a lot of boxing fans are ******s, but you're a sore loser for finding so many ways to attempt to undermine Haye's win, and unrealistic for asking Haye fans to have culpability. That is like asking Zab Judah to write the next great american novel (Naw whum sayin?).

Do you think it would have been reasonable for Haye to say, "I'm going to avoid Valuev for 12 rounds and land a few power shots on him per round then hope to get the UD in Germany?" Not to mention that maybe that was all Haye could do once he found out how massive and awkward Valuev is. A fighter has to believe before a fight that he is going to win. If he doesn't have confidence he's already lost.

Obviously you can't read.. i was talking about Haye's fans, not Haye himself.

Im not talking about Haye promoting the fight im talking about his fans promoting the fight claiming as the next huge thing that will knock out Nicolay with relative ease, which didn't even really come close to happening.

He said he would go for the KO and he did the exact opposite...

And its not like he desisivly won this title, cause he didn't.

Haye didn't win the fight, the buisness of boxing won the fight.

i dont know what there is to be proud of from that "performance"

If that was Tomasz Adamek in there who pulled that kinda of performance vs. Valuev, i wouldn't be bragging at all for Tomek, but all you Haye guys are jumping on this like its one of the greatest victories in the world.... Im not trying to undetermine Haye's win, im just saying facts. I dunno how you can be so proud over that performance, cause if that was my fighter in that ring, i wouldnt be bragging at all.

Once again, i said fans not, not Haye himself.

I don't have a problem with Haye promoting the fight, but come on, how can you be so proud of Haye from that performance when he didn't deliver?

    Its arguable if Haye won.

His tactics were extremely poor. He didn't land combination/body shots like everyone expected and this so called "win" was in a much poor fashion than that of Chagaev's.

if you look at a lot of the former recent champions (Lyakovich, Brewster,Chagaev etc..) those guys all convincingly defeated their opponents and no argument is necessary. Hayes first shot at the title, and he doesn't deliver like a true heavyweight champion would.

Im not hating on Haye as much as his fans.

Who wouldn't want a exciting HW champ? Im happy for David really, and i hope he destroys Ruiz, But when posters claim **** and start threads celebrating this so called victory, that isnt even celebrate-able, its kinda riddiculous....

When you look at it, if it was one of my favorite fighters that faught like Haye , vs. Valuev, i wouldnt be bragging one bit.

that was a **** poor performance and you know it.

    **** poor performance ?

Haye was fighting someone 7stone foot taller than him, a bigger size difference than if Pacquiao were to fight Haye himself.

Haye fought the perfect fight to get the win.

All that watching Adamek fights where he eats about a million punches whilst looking a fool have made you deluded.

I can't read? You don't even know what your own thread is about, what you wrote, and you are telling me I can't read.

Original post where you criticize Haye for not living up to his prediction:

Post I directly responded to, keeping your original post in mind:

    :-(

Also, I talked about both Haye's prediction and Haye's fans in my post, but you ignored the part where I talked about his fans.

I think it is you who is unable to read. And you also have poor recall of what you have written in your own posts.
