Skills, by your logic that p4p ranking should base on fighters not being touch, then are you placing Machida #1? He is by far the least touch of any fighter in UFC.
So Silva fighting Lietes and Cote and James Irvin, these guys are world class superfighters? Come on you are just hating on Fedor because he keeps beating guys you pick to beat him.
We all saw what happened in the Shogun fight so even if you wanted to make that argument it wouldn't hold weight after that, all i'm saying is Silva is making light work of his opponants while Fedor has struggled recently, that's two fights in a row where he's had problems early on. even in Silva's boring fights against Cote and Leites he never even got hit once.
And where did i pick Rogers to beat Fedor? :roll: furthermore people talk about Fedor beating "bigger guys" but forget that Silva started off at welter weight, now he's fighting at light heavy weight so he deserves the same credit imo, and no those fights you mentioned weren't superfighters but neither is Rogers, the only difference is Silva wasn't in any kind of danger in those fights like Fedor was tonight.
Even if you combine all the times when Silva faught he has gotten hit way more than Machida. There is a stronger case still Machida being the least touch by far. No comparison. Not to mention a p4p fighter does not lose to Chonan. Not to mention Machida is undefeated. Your case is weak. And your p4p ranking logic is rather flawed. Most people base it on level of competition and victories. If you base it on who looks flawless then a fighter who picks on bums would be your top guy?
Silva walks around over 200lbs so what he cuts massive weight to make those fights. Come fight time he is WAY bigger then most if not ALL his opponants.
You said "you don't see that happening to the other pound for pound guys" which, as I pointed out, is entirely false. Regardless of excuses, Lutter had Silva mounted and was landing clean shots on him. He also most certainly took a round off Silva (as Henderson did), while Fedor hasn't lost a round since the Arona fight 9 years ago. As far as Arlovski goes, he was beating Fedor in their fight but he certainly wasn't beating him up. He controlled the standup but landed very few clean shots. I have to say, though, that it's odd you would call Arlovski "a wash up" going into the Brett Rogers fight when prior to that he'd won 5 in a row against solid competition and then "beat up" (in your own words) the #1 fighter in his division in a pretty good losing effort. At which point exactly did Arlovski become washed up, because he was looking pretty ****ing good heading into the Rogers bout.
Fedor was outweighed by 40-50 lbs tonight. Silva weighing over 200lbs against other 200lbs+ guys is nowhere near the same thing.

Fedor should have gotten rid of Rogers a bit quicker but remember Fedor has had a long lay off, etc. A rematch should be good and Fedor will KO Rogers even quicker this time, now that he knows what Rogers brings.
Personally I think Rogers should fight a couple tune up fights before rematching Fedor. He needs to have a ground game and better his cardio to EVER dent Fedor, he put up a great fight but he was out of gas near the middle of the 2nd round... and he was asleep.:good
Rogers will legitimise the win in future fights imo. He's never going to beat Fedor, but based on that he could beat a lot of other people. I'd back him against most of the UFC heavy division. And the reason Fedor is the best is he can be hurt and still doesn't lose. You can put him in a position most other fighters would be guaranteed to lose from and he's never really hurt, never panics and normally turns it around and wins in short order.
