I was glad to see him become another boxer who proves what I've said for a long time - extreme weight draining has an effect on the boxers chin. Last night, he took some decent shots, yet didn't once stumble or look in the least bit hurt. I know that Valuev isn't the worlds biggest puncher, but on size alone, you know he carries power. A lot of people predicted Haye had no chin and would be knocked out, including Dan Rafael, but he proved them wrong. Is it great? No. Can he be stopped against the Klitschko's? Yes. But the days where you can give any opponent a shot at beating him because of his chin, are long gone. Let's hope that if Ruiz is to get another shot, Haye polished him off with ease, which I think he will do.
For ****s sake make up your mind Haye fanatics, you claim Valuev landed 3 punches all night and then you say he took big punches to prove his chin.
Why did you quote me saying "decent" then say I said "big punches"? Haye made Valuev look ridiculous, but he still took some punches. Just not that matter, but he proved his chin.
Yeah the 3 punches landed were on his chin In the lead up some were saying a jab would KO Haye so that didnt materialise.
Haye won and deservedly so. However, threads like this don't help his cause. His didn't take any punches of note whatsoever because of how strategically clever he was. This is going to get him criticised without merit.
