Both fights were awful. I really don't know who was more convincing. I'd have to watch the holyfield fight again, which their is no chance in hell of me doing that. From what I can remember Hayes win was more convincing as he got hit by less and managed to hurt Valuev.
**** haye he ran the whole fight!!!!!what happened to all that talk....he always seems to have an excuse....i would like to see tua vs haye cuz tua has a granite chin and two bombs left and right AND HOLYFILED LANDED MORE CLEANER SHOT IN SOME ROUNDS THEN HAYE THREW THE WHOLE FIGHT....I WAS REALLY HYPED ABOUT THIS FIGHT CUZ I THOUGHT OF MIKE TYSON AND SOMEONE WHO WAS GONNA BE FEROCIOUS IN HIS BODY ATTACK AND BRING THE PAIN BUT HE RAN MORE THAN CHAD DAWSON AND AT LEAST DAWSON FOUGHT
Actually, both those fights were pretty similar. Haye hit more accurate in this one, but on the same time. Valuev did absolutely nothing vs. Holyfield. And Holyfield stood his ground a little better vs. Valuev without throwing too much. Sick of boxers getting points for controlling the center. Of course a guy who is 213cm long and 150kg will dominate the center. That doesn't mean anything as long as you don't hit ****!
it's a pity Holyfield didn't get the decision or we might have got to see the two former cruiserweight kings against each other last night.
Totally agree with this. Most of the posters in the gf have become completely partizan to the point were rational disscusion is almost impossible. Its quite a problem.
People's affection for Holyfield blinds then to how ineffective he was against Valuev. He was throwing, but they were light flurries with no real intent. And I don't know how anyone could read that I don't think there are bad decisions in boxing, or inconsistent scoring. Fight scoring is subjective - just because you scored one way once doesn't mean that in the vastly different circumstances and context of another fight that you must score it the same way. Anyway, too many people come out with this "robbery" crap for every single close fight. I'm tired of seeing it, and tired of everyone becoming an expert at scoring a fight when they don't seem to understand even the simple concept of effective aggression.
nop... holyfield should just have that belt from Valuev at that time.. Then he would loose it to Haye.. Thats not the point.. It would have been wonderfull to c holyfield with that belt 10000 % more than Haye... And they both won against Valuev imo.
Sorry but what the **** are you talking about? Chagaev beat Valuev in a clear-cut fashion in an ENTERTAINGING fight landing the left constantly and being "man" enough to exchange.... Chagaev would KO Haye easily.
