I don't think the cricket thing really captured the public's imagination much. For starters it was on Sky, and it wasn't a contest between the world's best two teams like it was in 2005. Australia were still #1 but had lost at home to SA (before beating them in SA) and England lost to West Indies in the winter. It was the worst Aussie team to come over since 1985.... and they only had one genuine superstar in Ponting.... rather than seven or eight as in 2005.
Agree it wasn't any where near as captivating (or special in terms of acheivement) as 2005 but I also wonder exactly who it is that votes for these things. . . . Won't be having any money on the result that's for sure.
you what? i was half joking i read abit about her and shes achieved alot. Definitly as good as any other Brit in terms of sporting achievement and she is good looking aswell EDIT: while i remember Dan the reason i aint been texting you back is i aint got no credit
Without a doubt Phil Taylor deserves it, but I backed Haye at 25/1 before he pulled out of the Klit fight, so I'm rooting for Haye!!
As long as Button doesn't win it..... won't be that bothered. I'd say Ennis deserves it most though...... I would stick my house on it not being a boxer though.
i wouldn't argue with ennis winning it. i'd even vote for a tennis player if one won wimbeldon, but not motor sports
Same here. I'm not a fan of motor sports so as long as Button doesn't get it I'll be happy. As BB says theres not a chance a boxer gets it this year.
no chance of Haye winning this. Interesting to hear rumours that Haye vs Ruiz might be on terestrial, which would be great!
