Im inclined to think Haye is the top draw. If he can hold of the klits till the end of next year. That fight would be massive. Haye does sell a fight well
heard warren on radio 5 this afternoon. didn't he say he had to switch off the fight after the 9th round and it was the worst hw title fight he'd seen? also criticised hayes negative tactics. i think the bbc pundit then mentioned khan - kotelnik. unfortunately i had to pull into an underground carpark at this point and missed the rest of the interview
Funny Warren was so butthurt about it, Khan did exactly the same thing as Haye did, except by round 11/12 he was pretty worn out and had to hold a lot because Kotelnik was getting closer, a bit of the opposite with Haye. He's just so ****ing butthurt it's unbelievable. Hasn't got a good word to say about Joe, Hatton, Haye, Froch, anyone who isn't A meer ****ing Con.
Here's a link to Haye talking about his next fight [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1EVt_g7Ixw[/ame]
Bunce made a comment about potential negativity from certain figures in boxing - Fwank just can't help himself. He hasn't made anything out of it, so he's railing and bitter over the fact that Haye's done a good job. With the excellent promotion Sky did (as much as it pains me to say it), and the memorable opponent who was a curiosity even for non-fans, I think it was an event that will have done good numbers on PPV. That's crap, frankly (haha). He'll have made a decent fight purse, but lower than Valuev, obviously. Haye and Booth were very smart about going fr Valuev instead of the Klits. Basically, from a position where they'd have made no money and lost any right to run Haye's career independently, they realised Valuev would make no real money for a third fight with Ruiz, and would probably see Haye as an easy option making it easier to negotiate. Haye was saleable in Europe after beating Mormeck. So, Haye got a bigger purse, better terms and a more winnable fight against the giant, and is now in a better position to negotiate with the brothers K. Smart thinking and brave fighting again for the Londoner. Warren would never have the guts to take those sort of risks for any of his fighters, and its why people will always criticise the guys he has promoted.
Exactly. I remember when Hatton was a world beater, potentially Britain's best ever when he beat Tszyu...... three months later, even before his next fight, Ricky was a lucky journeyman who cherrypicked an ageing champion. Complete and utter dickhead. Clearly the truth lies somewhere in between, but it wasn't as if Hatton ducked Tszyu at any point, he was asking for the fight for ages, but Warren wouldn't make it.
Is this the same Frank Warren that is still upset that David Haye smashed Enzo Mac into future retirement!!!
I just read that it could hit a million :admin ppv's WOW Frank must be boiling over with anger Cant wait to hear Franks opinion on Hayes PPV numbers
dailymail are saying it was 250k predicted but quickly passed half a million and is now looking set to me over a million.
