He beat a lot of a.t.g in lower divisions but,did u think hes over rated from 135 to 147? In "my opinion" he beat the worst champ in the 135, beat an drained, old, sick, past prime and slow dlh, and other super over rated w no defense and no tech in hatton... And miguel is a lot better in all terms than barrera, morales, diaz, hatton and todays dlh.
underrated 2 years ago who woud've thought Pacqiuao stood a chance fighting Cotto at 145? Now some people criticize him for taking this fight.
in 2007, there was a thread here that talks about pac fighting DLH, Hatton and Cotto...people laugh at the idea and that those guys would kill pac... how could that be overated??? Pac is underrated!!!!
why do some boricuas nitpicking pac's accomplishments? if cotto wins, it means he beat an overrated fighter. is that what you want?
Barrera - Pacquiao was born after and came into the spotlight way after Barrera. Not Pac's fault. In the first fight, Barrera was just 2 years and 4 fights removed from moping the floor with Naseem Hamed. In the second, Barrera had just come off fighting a very competitive fight with JMM...a fight in which he dropped JMM, but got no credit for it. Morales - I'll give you this one - Morales may have been a bit past his prime the second and third times he fought Pac, but Pac still deserves credit for those wins simply because he was avenging a previous loss, and the second time he won, he made Morales - the warrior - QUIT! Plus, wasn't he the only guy to ever drop Morales? Pacquiao twice knocked out a guy who had never even been knocked down. Marquez - Marquez has Pac's number, no denying that. But as much as he may have the man's number, why couldn't he prevent himself from being knocked down 4 times? Was that all 4 lucky shots that put him down? Diaz - Pac gets credit for this because he had moved up in weight. Any fighter who moves up and pole-axes as guy who is more accustomed to the weight deserves some praise. De La Hoya - Before the fight, people thought De La Hoya was just too big an experienced. Nobody was giving Pacquiao a chance, but when Pac won in spectacular fashion, all the sudden, De La Hoya was old...weight drained...is that Pacquiao's fault? No. De La Hoya called him out. Oscar wanted to take advantage of Pacquiao's rising star status, and it bew up in his face. De La Hoya couldn't punch back because he was overwhelmed by Pacquiao's speed. What does being old or weight drained have to do with not punching someone back? And a old fighter can't beat a younger, fresher - prime fighter? Tell that to Bernard Hopkins and Kelly Pavlik. And regarding the "Pacquiao couldn't drop a old Oscar" thing? So what? Oscar has always had a great chin. Keep in mind that Spinks, Holmes, and Berbick couldn't drop an Ali, who at that point was way more shot than De La Hoya could have been facing Pac. Hatton - Hatton did an okay job for the first half of his fight with Mayweather, and was coming off a huge and convincing win over Paulie Malagnaggi. Nobody was calling him overrated prior to that. Hatton was terrified of Pac, you can tell by the look on his face during his walk to the ring. All you have to do is watch old Tyson fights to see what being scared of the other guy does to a fighter's psyche. He thought his best bet was to slug it out, and Pacquiao put them hands on him. As good as Mayweather is, he didn't hit Hatton that cleanly so early in the fight, he didn't drop him three times, and he didn't knock him out cold with a single shot. If you watch the knockout punch closely, you'll see that it was pure skill on Pac's part, not a case of luck or Hatton's defense. Are you telling me Hatton never gave Mayweather an opportunity to land a shot like that early in their fight?
Did u see the left hook that floyd give to hatton/? Pac was trowin that punch a lot of time until he landed, floyd just wait to put that perfect hook...
